This whole Galfoy/Malfoid trend feels like the final boss of the Draco mischaracterization in the fandom.It's borderline impossible to find a fanfic or even comic that portrays Draco as the person he is in the books. He's not this suave sultry bad boy. He's a petulant scared child who can't understand proper human interaction. This wouldn't be as marketable or art-worthy, but I'd have preferred they give this treatment to Pansy Parkinson, Cho Chang, or Ginny Weasely. Pansy has basically no characterization other than just being a Slytherin girl who occasionally hangs around Draco and his goons. Cho is a shy soft spoken girl who really opens up and shows her passion for Quittich. I don't think it's ever mentioned in the movies that she was the Ravenclaw Seeker. Ginny is famously made more boring in the movies to the point that it stoked the fires of Harry/Hermione shipping even after the books ended.If you want a snarky, sarcastic girl who don't take no shit from no one, Ginny's your girl, and for a few months she was basically plastered on Harry's arm as they were the school's number one power couple in his sixth year.Granted, the idea of bitter childhood enemies becoming lovers is always an appealing one to me. And the tragedy and angst involved with Draco in Half Blood Prince, but on a female character adds an extra level of appeal to it. It also gives opportunity for a nice resolution to Draco's arc. As it stands in the story, all he does is choose to not reveal that the disfigured guy the Snatchers caught was Harry, and then escaped with his family rather than fight on for the Death Eaters. It'd be kind of nice to have something a bit more substantial for him. There's a weird mandela effect from some that Draco threw Harry his wand in the final battle, but that never happened.

Harry and Draceana are mostly full rivals/enemies, except they get along just slightly better when there's no else around. She made a somewhat better first impression because she was in a better mood in the shop. Some brief cute moments like Draceana accidentally grabbing Harry's hand in the Forbidden Forest, and them finding the mirror and Draceana thinking Harry is full of it because she just sees a normal reflection of them standing there with the implication going completely past them.During year 1 or 2 she has to stay in Hogwarts over christmas for some reason, with very few other students around she and Harry have to put up with each other's bullshit and they call a temporary truce to not drive each other crazy. She shadows the gang at the end of book 2 and sees Harry kill the basilisk in front of her just before she gets in harm's way. She's simultaneously angry her number one enemy could outdo her by doing something that awesome, and much to her chagrin impressed by Potter doing something that awesome.>Book 3No major changes. Draceana witnesses Harry fight the dementors with his fully formed patronus and she again begrudgingly finds it cool. Near the end they have a huge, vitriolic one to one argument over stuff that happened that year like Buckbeak, Harry is a lot more hateful than at any point before that and she internally realizes she went too far this time. Afterwards Harry's thinking back to the argument and realizes she let her mask slip, she's still just a dumb sheltered rich girl and getting injured by a huge animal scared her a lot worse than she showed on the surface. It's enough of an explanation that Harry doesn't find her completely unforgivable anymore.1/?

They have some encounters alone dotted along the school year, and each one involves less insult trading and shittalking each other's friends than the previous one. Just a few days before the final Tri-Wizard round they find the mirror again and it's an almost exact re-do of first year, except this time they both get embarassed.2/?

I found a mod that adds a House Points system to the game. Still not as good as what the devs could have implemented if they'd really tried, but it's a nice bit of immersion. You gain points from completing challenges and can lose them by doing things like picking locks while visible. There's also supposed to be a system that can reward or deduct points based on quest choices although I haven't gotten that far yet.

It's one of the most annoying things about the game. On the bright side, there are mods that will drop you to exactly that point if you check the in-game mod manager and/or nexus. If you pair that with the character editor, you can start from that spot and then simply change your character's appearance, wand, and house to match what you want it to be.

Honestly, I didn't really like this game. I thought the combat was way too reliant on reacting to the red/yellow spider sense, and hitting the corresponding button. All the little side activities just seemed to waste time for no proper payoff. I can't think of a single reason why potions have brew times that you need to wait through in real time. The creature care spells are tutorialised in full before we ever learn what it's all for. Side quests and Puzzles were kind of fun the first time, but then they were mostly just repeats after that.Is it any better on normal difficulty, or with keyboard and mouse? Maybe now that I know what to expect from mechanics and the different areas, it'll be more bearable?It's weird, but this is the first time I've wanted to replay the game, as a bitchy slytherin girl (with a dark bob like pansy did in one movie though,)

When I heard that you have to trace the spell motions, I got excited because that's how the Philosopher's stone PC game has you learn them. You do it five times with increasing accuracy requirements and lower timers each time, getting you more house points the better you do.
