The XCOM 2 experience

>Enemy takes full cover, forcing me to use a grenade
>Grenade bugs out the game so the enemy turns invisible, forcing me to take 3 overwatch shots instead
>3 overwatch shots miss, forcing the enemy into high cover again and forcing me to flank it
>Flank reveals a new pod, killing my squad

None of this is my fault. I was served a steaming pile of shit in a 6 course meal.
>>
Skill issue.

Have you considered games more suitable to your level, like for example Super Mario?

Download a mod that fixes that bug. Problem solved.

>Forced to take cover by a car since there's a time limit and no other cover
>Purifier throws a grenade on two of my guys by a car

There is no bug where an enemy can literally disappear from the game, from my experience. Either the grenade created a line of sight change, or you could still target him even if there's a visual glitch.

>saying this when nu-xcom is literal garbage dumbed down to a extreme level so it can be playable for console and mobile audiences
Holy fuck lmao
>>
>>749470175
There's Mario and Rabbids Xcom-like if Xcom is too hard for you
>>
So are Central, Shen, the black doc and the 3 Chosen all in the same voice chat considering how the Chosen can quip to you in the base?
>>
>>749470270
Learn to read. Nu-xcom isn't hard. It's shallow garbage dumbed down hard so console niggers could play it and feel "smart" without shitting themselves from anger. Original Xcom, Jagged alliance and games following the actual tactics formula with AP management are hard. Nu-xcom is not.
>>
>>749470536
Ok, noob.
>>
>>749470706
Learn to read.
>>
>>749470536
Maybe if you'd spend a bit more time practicing instead of screaming like a five year old you could actually beat the game.
>>
>>749470845
Practicing what? There's very little to "practice" in nu-xcom. It was designed for console niggers, game journalists and phone niggers. I know that you're the kind of nigger who plays original xcom, gets owned on the first mission then starts crying about it being "clunky", "janky", "outdated" and "unplayable".
>>
>>749470986
Pro tip: get new weapons before the new armor. That way you can kill enemies first instead of needing to tank their attacks
>>
>>749471104
>using smoke grenades to cover your units so they can advance without being owned with reaction fire
>using a combination of scouts revealing enemy units and high accuracy soldiers sniping them from far away
>equipping your soldiers with rocket launchers and cannons with explosive ammo to just blow the whole map up and take the ayys down with it
Funny how the peak of nu-xcom strategy boils down to "shoot first lmao".
>>
>>749471718
>shoot first lmao
This is every turn based strategy game in existence
>>
>>749471881
Give him a break, he's new to the genre
>>
>>749472046
But I'm not a nu-xcom fan?
>>
>>749472046
I consider it a fundamental flaw with the genre to be completely honest
Among wargames I prefer alternating action games, typically using activation rolls. Full on IGOUGO inevitably results in the game going to whoever can most successfully alpha strike the enemy
>>
>>749472113
Once you mature, you will acquire taste for challenge. Until then, enjoy your bing bing wahoo
>>
You flanked into darkness and you're mad you revealed another pod?
It's possible you fucking suck.
>>
Why did those retards make some gay fanfic nobody wanted and went broke, instead of making an XCOM 3?
>>
>>749472214
I enjoy how you're so damn mentally ill that you refuse to pay attention to my posts and are fighting a guy who exists only in your head. I am 30 years old and love original xcom, jagged alliance and silent storm. Now kys.

It's a conceit of how cover in nuxcom works
When behind cover you have line of sight to them within the cone and they have line of sight to you because they have the ability to step out of cover to take their pot shot. The game simplifies this by allowing you to target them as if they were one space to the right
Without the cover they no longer have that conceit. They don't 'take' a step to the right to acquire a visual, which means you can no longer see them in your cone of vision/overwatch

Just bounce back. Unless you doing the never lose a soldier achievenment there is never a need to give up from random bullshit leading to failure.
>>
>>749473902
>May enter overwatch at the end of their turn

Literally just "75% chance of a random unit dying on every turn until you unlock more abilities".

>Any form of blastshield

Instant fucking retart.
>>
>>749472459
One you put 1000 hours into long war and master all the mechanics, its the most kino strategic experience in gaming. I play it yearly, on Legend difficulty iron man. Sometimes I can beat it, sometimes I get utterly fucked. My most recent run ended because I got caught on an advent tower mission, got squad wiped due to being too stubborn to evacuate, losing 5 of my highest ranked soldiers, didn’t have MSGTs to send find the chosen stronghold, and got fucked by a Hunter chosen avengers defense but somehow survived, only to get done in by the avatar project timer due to my soldier reserves being crippled and unable to recover. It was a desperate spiral into defeat, and I’m fighting the urge to start a new campaign.

>it would be better if the vision was true
>so I can get shot from behind a wall by something I'm not aware of
I bet you wouldn't complain at all, not even tiny bit.

nu-XCOM2 with the DLC is just superheroes vs supervillains Marvel shit disguised as XCOM. No thanks.
The first nu-XCOM is at least a game, not a shitshow.
>>
>>749476196
I agree, you need to first play Xcom Enemy Within, then Xcom 2 vanilla, then Xcom 2 WotC. Cant go reverse because you'll be missing QoL improvements

I recommend playing it on PC
>>
>>749470270

Yeah, nu-xcom does indeed suck ass because losing one man means the mission is on its way to being fucked
While in original xcom losing some men is expected.
>>
>>749481640
sounds like you're a fucking baby
don't worry halo will be getting a new game soon
