This just hit me playing Kingdom Come 2, I have over 140 hours in the game and this is my third playthrough but every time, I completely lose enthusiasm once I get to Kuttenberg (second half of the game). I still haven't actually finished the story, and I doubt I'll ever finish it. With Witcher 3, probably have more than 200 hours in it over the years, I've only actually done *one* single start-to-finish playthrough where you do the whole story and get the end credits. Cyberpunk, same story, 150 hours, only seen the ending once. Am I just autistic, or is there something about these games that genuinely makes them less fun once you progress past a certain point? The opening areas and leveling process is always so much fun, but it feels like once you've got your build set up and you're finally ready to play the game you no longer want to play the game.
Sounds normal to me man. I'd call it autism if you kept going despite being bored/satisfied. I'd recommend giving it some time and just bee-lining the main story when you feel like getting back into it. This game has a pretty cool conclusion sequence.
>>749539528i only played like 3 hours of the first KC so why the fuck would i buy the second - boring as fuck
>>749539528Kuttenberg map and quests on it are badly designed and DLCs are boring
>>749539528getting to kuttenberg can definitely kill the momentum because you can spend the next like 20 hours just in that city running around doing quests unless you force yourself to leave and explore
>>749541898Not like there is much to explore, reallyDrop in quest density and how they are connected to each other compared to the first game or Troski is fucked up, nigga
>>749539528I don't like the second map map in general but Kuttenberg is pretty cool, especially with the forge DLC. If I were to replay the game again I probably wouldn't touch most sidequests, they just seem incredibly uninteresting compare to the main quest.
>>749539528I always see them through to the end.
>>749543002I actually feel the opposite, I loved all the sidequests in the Trosky region with the exception of the gypsy quest that has you ping-ponging back and forth across the map just to have one conversation at a time, and then you have to do some inane set of minigame challenges because apparently >saving a man's son *and* saving his daughterIs not enough to get him to give you his magic fucking necklace or whatever it was
>>749541951The first map definitely feels a lot more polished and focused in terms of the writing and questlines. Kuttenberg is just this colossal area with a billion things going on at once and it feels less like you're going on Henry's journey and more like you're doing a standard open world RPG with checklists (complete the quests in this village, then go to this village, then back to Kuttenberg for another sidequest, and so on).
>>749539528Kuttenberg was great because the jews there lie to you and then later they straight up betray you and try to kill you but fail miserably which felt very real to lifeYou can antagonize the jewish quarter which was a welcome addition to the game
