I just started KH3 for the first time and put it straight to critical. Not going to lie the first world was brutal. There are so many more enemies on screen you just end up getting sniped by something off screen if you go in like the old games. My strategy so far is to isolate an enemy and build up my meter until I can AOE everything with some OP move. Can't say I'm the biggest fan of that gameplay loop but I'm mostly in it for the post-game bosses.

I AM PLAYING THE GAME FOR THE FIRST TIME SO I HAVE A EXPERT OPINIONI just beat Deep Jungle. I found it to be way more abstruse than Wonderland. Mainly because I felt like I was just wandering around most of the time trying to trigger the next cut-scene to advance the story. Wonderland was fairly easy to do, but the boss fight felt annoying due to platforming. Mainly, the lack of proper shadows on objects so I was always hitting my head on the bottom of the table instead of grabbing onto the ledge. The game is very fun though. I love all the bright colors in the levels, and the nostalgia from seeing all these Final Fantasy and Disney characters is very endearing.

Going through Aqua now.Also I actually played 358/2 instead of just watching the movie. Boy am I glad I did that, I also plan on actually playing re:coded too. Also gonna play on critical mode whenever a secret ending is involved so I can avoid doing a bunch of chores to unlock it.

Toy story is actually the peak, and I'm frustrated that they've stopped including more final fantasy stuff. Monsters Inc is almost good, but it doest lean hard enough into the level of exploration that big hero six allowed. I wish they would include more FF stuff, but with the jump to the real world or whatever kh4 is actually doing, I think we're probably gonna get less to none.

Honestly I don't even remember the Wonderland world. I remember getting lost in Tarzan's world for a bit but like Wonderland apparently didn't leave any lasting impression at all.

Normal and Proud you can kind of just fight the robots on foot anyway, but critical mode makes it REALLY tough because you basically have no equipment and no abilities to speed up any encounter. I'm replying through the Kingdom Hearts series. I'm not very far into KH1, but I finished Wonderland, and it's much shorter than I remember. Trickmaster actually took me way more tries on Proud mode than I care to admit, and I found Tarzan's world to be WAY longer, but what's funny is Clayton was super easy on Proud mode. I beat him on my first try despite the infamous difficulty everyone claims about him. Atlantis was a slog as well; super boring. I cheated on the second phase Ursula fight fuck that bitch. There is no way I could do that on Proud mode. I was dying in three hits, so if you beat her on Proud mode then congrats. She is 100x harder than any boss you face up to that point.
