Village is a more silly RE, but it's more favorable in my book because it did a course-correct on the characters. Yes, only Chris was featured, but if more of the OG cast would've been present then they would've been presented in their established form. There was no need to ever deviate from that.

Having picked up RE7 during the Steam sale and completing it I can say it was not very fun at all. I felt like I was playing Outlast. The pacing was awful. The Bakers estate was more nonsensical and insane than the Spencer mansion. The Mold is absolutely pants on head retarded even by RE standards. Ethan sucked. And why did everyone hate Aunt Rhody? She was just an old woman.

Capcom needs to get the story back in order. It's all over the place. They really fucked up by dismantling Umbrella so early. They keep introducing new shit that starts further and further from what it work in the first place: Viruses and BOW's. Now, we're doing the whole thing where it's actually some parasite or organism that was buried deep under the Earth. I'm sorry, Back 4 Blood did it better. At least I can buy that more easily than suddenly having multiple different things popping up that all do something similar.
