It's not too unrealistic, RDR2 came out on PC a year later and it was a decent port, one of Rockstar's better ports unlike >>749611082 claims it to be, the worst Rockstar PC port award still goes to GTA IV.
And PC ports are usually done by Rockstar Toronto, they done all the PC ports for RAGE titles since GTA IV and are probably the most experienced studio for that matter, minus fumbling GTA IV. Knowing that they already had experience with porting RDR2 and it being very close to GTA VI, engine/code wise, it could speed things up by a lot. It'll probably be a port from the Xbox Series X since that uses DX12, so they're already half way there.

I think that actually makes it more believable. Rather than doing a staggered at minimum three-stage launch with the single player on consoles, online on consoles and finally both on PC, it seems like it'd make a lot of sense to launch the game on PC before online drops sometime later in 2027. They could have second-party RP servers running within like a year of the PC launch that way as well.

They are likely aware they are going to lose some revenue because of the whole shitshow around PS5 emulators anyway. The volume of people who could potentially opt to get the game that way is likely in 300 000 - 500 000 in the first three months. Maybe around million, but not more since a lot of people are tech retarded. Half of them would likely not buy the game after official release. But i think there's likely a good expectation that if they waited longer, the number of people who would attempt to play the game that way would skyrocket with a tone of tutorials on how to get it done.
