>>749615065The very recent final patch of Visions of Eternity, GW2's latest (and likely final, no fucking way Anet survives releasing GW3 and having it gigaflop as it will) ends on an incredible fucking high note, where after literally saving the entire universe from being rewritten your character goes back to the starting zone for their race, helps with some completely miniscule task (I played Norn, so it was herding some dolyaks into a pen and having a beer) and just pauses and relaxes for a bit while the credits roll. For someone like me, who's playd the game a ton for more than a decade and experienced all stuff as it was current, it was fucking perfect. The world is saved and there's no need to rush into the next crisis. For me, it was even better, as when I arrived in the starter zone I spotted a little newbie character watching the scout there, and only complete noobs do that, so it really, really felt like coming full circle, seeing someone else just start out the adventure I'd just finished.
