Psychonauts 2 was maybe the last big sequel to a beloved classic that I always dreamed of potentially being real. I still enjoy new releases, but it's hard to build that sort of hype up for things anymore. Part of it's getting older, part of it's not wanting to be disappointed, and part of it is getting briefly excited over a new Mass Effect trailer and then seeing nothing of substance come from it for over half a decade.
