It insists upon itself too much for comfort.
I had the PC version as a kid and I was really confused why it wasn't a platformer.>filenameThe spanish dub sucks so much. Some of the jokes are translated wrong and the Spongebob voice actor doesn't know how to yell.
My leg
>kelp forest slide stagefuck that level so god damn much
>>749638030I am using the out of bounds glitch and jumping down the whole stage EXCLUSIVELY
>>749637903>modern seasons spingebill dubmonkey paw moment, getting the OG ps2 game with the first seasons dub could have been so perfect...
>>749637638>>749637978>>749640074>troonbob
>>749640124Don't be ridiculous.
it sneeds upon chuckself
>>749637638>she plays this game and deletes everything afterwards
>>749638030>love the bfbb/movie slides that all of them are pretty easy (macho time rock slide only because the shortcuts you can take are insane)>kelp forest slide still gets me at least once every timevery fun slide regardless
>>749640191Apparently, yes.
Post them
>>749644096Well, this isn't a thread on co, it's about a spongebob game and making a tier list from scratch takes at least several minutes or even many minutes. I agree that those are *great* episodes though.
Movie PS2 > BFBB
>>749645579Wonder why they never bothered to remake the movie game. Always felt like it had enough popularity to justify it.Are the newer games worth playing? Just occurred to me that the movie game and BFBB are the two that always get discussed so I'm curious if Cosmic Shake and Titans of the Tide were any good.
>>749646002I can't say anything about Titans of the Tide yet but The Cosmic Shake is pretty good of course. SpongeBob is the only playable character but it's a very fun game.
>>749645579movie just felt like a bunch of driving and sliding gimmickshit levels. i liked bfbb way more
>>749646002I never played Cosmic Shake myself but I did play Titans with a younger cousin. The platforming, combat and level designing is genuinely great but it's unfortunately too short and easy. You can blow through it in a single afternoon. It felt like it was building up for a big 2nd half only for it to just kinda end. If you remember Heavy Iron's Truth or Square, or Wario World for a more familiar example, it's the exact same fate of feeling like a World 1 but missing Worlds 2 and 3.
>>749644096did it just to see how many of these I could remember enough to rate them off the top of my head. Only episode I missed was As Seen on TV so I guess I didn't watch that one much as a kid. Incredibly biased list btw
I played BfBB with that Deluxe hack recently and I forgot how glacially slow and boring the platforming is. A lot of the level design is just "we placed a gap you can only double jump across, that's the extent of it."Maybe it's just me having played a lot of other more fast-paced platformers through time.I'm kinda preferring Movie more nowadays purely because it's a game that can actually challenge you.
Unpopular opiniom but I think Kelp Forest wasn't that bad. It was fun.
>>749646002Something was off about cosmic shake for me, too by the numbers I guess.
>>749645579>>749649182i always preferred movie and its probably my favorite spongebob game in general desu, the token gates are pretty bad but the things it does over battle like platforming, some enemy lineups (even if most are either just a BFBB bot or a mixture) and just actually making patrick fun to play just elevate it, BFBB kind of starts slow with jellyfish fields. and i'm glad modders mostly gravitate to movie.also while both soundtracks are great, i just ham to movie's tracks more. some of the best spongebob videogame music.>https://youtu.be/qoiesBupiw0>https://youtu.be/BiHUIbsI5Ik>https://youtu.be/nzrWN7TZA-0both game's dialogue are ingrained in to my head>>749646002not sure why either, maybe just because it follows a movie from 2004, even if it gets a bit loose.didn't care for cosmic shake, and titans of the tide is good but way too short for its own good cause when it gets good it gets real fucking good like the extra slides and boss rematches. sandy's was really fun.
LOL
>>749640185You’re right he’s a retarded faggot
>>749647782truth or square is a weird fucking game, especially knowing that the spanish wii version has versions of the PSP downtown and krusty krab stages (and said PSP version also having flying robots from trailers when it was called happiness squared and also having portions of levels from that trailer tucked away in the files).
>>749647205>>749647782>>749650590>>749650224I see, thanks anons. Been itching to play a new platformer lately and it sounds like it'd be worth my time to at least try the newer ones. I don't mind a shorter game if what's there is fun enough.
this or the movie
>>749658102this, the movie game is dogshit
>>749638030You can skip a good chunk of it by jumping off at the right point
>>749658102both
Why does nobody ever bring up Super Sponge? I thought it was pretty not bad.
>>749659039I like the GBA version.
>>749659039both the PS1 and gba versions are in the same camp as those nicktoons unite games for spongebob where they're good for wasting an hour or two and are fun but they're nothing too crazy. great soundtrack though.
