The game doesn't use gacha for obtaining characters, instead you essentially unlock them by beating each world boss, but the game still plays exactly like Genshin outside of the gacha. Including things like the menus, dailies, energy and battlepass systems.

Friendly Reminder that Aniimo is Israeli spyware.From Steam Review:* The game isn't just running as a game. It reads your desktop wallpaper then goes to the folder it is located in and reads the file. If it happens to be your pictures folder then it now has access to your pictures folder.* The anti-cheat called NepsKernel.sys is indeed a Kernel Level anti-cheat. This isn't bundled with the game & is instead something the game installs on its own without your consent after you install the game. The anti-cheat is also reading your desktop specifically all your desktop icons and the folder its located in. If you want to remove this then you will have to remove it manually after uninstalling the game.* The anti-cheat does hardware checks during which it checks for camera & if camera led is active. We haven't been able to determine if it can actually use the camera to capture images through the camera. However, it has kernel level access so if it can and does do this then the user wouldn't even know.* The game installs 2 trackers into your system which do not get removed after you uninstall the game, boot when you start your pc, remains active even after you uninstall the game and requires you to manually remove them. These 2 show up as unknown when you check for them. They are Isreali based AppsFlyer Analytics trackers.

Game's pretty fun, it's basically a better and slightly deeper Genshin Impact with monster catching. There's a lot of soulful elements that weren't strictly necessary, like unique per-mon animations for when you afk for a long time (where the mon comes up and interacts with the screen) and the way wild aniimo interact with you and each other is radically different for each species.I HATE the way trainer battles get easier or harder based on your own trainer's level, and the social hub area where you see other players is performance hell, but those don't kill it for me.

There is the slave plantantion part where you build this just to get RV money, and there Housing one, where its ultra autistically require to make one fucking room in a giant as plot (think buying tons of floor panels and wall parts and making it into a room. The housing part isn't require, but the plantation part is a system that allows you to upgrade your RV level progression, access to certain aniimo, and money making

I don't know, these don't really look like monsters for the most part. They're either furry coombaits or very fuzzy neopets. Good if that's your thing but it doesn't scratch the same itch as Palworld or Pokémon
