The saddest part about Prime 4 is that there really is a good game in there somewhere buried under the mountains of shit. The visuals and music are phenomenal, the Prime controls and gunplay are as good as ever. The enemies are fun to fight. Even the motion gimmicks are fun when they actually bother to use them. But to get to that you have the albatross of that fucking desert hanging on the games neck, the obnoxious characters who I wished would just die, to godawful motorcycle gameplay and controls, there being no real upgrades except different color missiles, and the levels all being straight lines completely disconnected from each other.
