Did anyone even side with the Dawnguard or like them? Everyone and everything I see points to like 90% of players siding with the vampire faction and doing the vampire storyline. I wanted to RP as like a cool templar/paladin, but Skyrim somehow makes that incredibly lame. You can still do that class fantasy by just playing as a warrior that specializes in restoration magic, but it's boring. Dawnguard gives you some more "damage" style holy spells. Or you can just mod a templar/paladin skillset into the game. I don't blame people though, being a vampire and roleplaying as one is way more fun, especially if you're playing as like an assassin/thief type playstyle.

It's hard to imagine the thought process of any half way intelligent vampire hunter that just plays along with no trouble and walks into a vampire lair alone with their new vampire friend they just met. It's the most frustrating part of the DLC. Bethesda didn't think about roleplay at all.
