I don't see much discourse online between of which one is better. First game has random levels but linear character progression and limited resource to not hold many items. Second game has character customization but the complaints of too many enemy spawns and annoying overworld/rest mechanics.Which one is better? Would I miss anything crucial if I played the sequel first?
There's some cameos and references in the second game that won't make much sense if you didn't play the first, but the story is mostly background noise so it depends on what you're after. Both are great, but I was a bit disappointed with the second game as units feel a little less unique.
>>749650547I only played the first and enjoyed it.
>>749650547They're both really good games. I love the combat in them and always catch myself itching for the next armed conflict.
>>749650547Play 1 first. 2 isn't a lot better so you aren't missing out on much playing then chronologically.2 is also a literal sequal to 1, so some of that'll be wasted on you if you actually like the universe.
>>7496505472 is harder but more rewarding1 is easier but more engaging
>>749651132Don't like generics in tactics games then? Especially since the story isn't the main focus?
I loved the first one and hated the second.
