One more ask for this little song. Lunarium is an adorable ARPG about two girls trying to save their world which blew me away and made me cry, and I wanted to honor those feelings while they're fresh and burning in my soul. One verse of this is short (less than 90 seconds I think), and the celestial theme Just Fits. Thank you for even thinking about it. I was trying to finish Lunarium earlier this month so I could write a longer song, but it took me longer than expected.

Spoilers for Lunarium which is an amazing game I recommend, a little buggy but very genuine gem. Lune is a Starfarer, an unageing spirit borne of humanity's hopes and fears, who wants to live among humans as a companion and friend like any other, but who doesn't want to be their idol or goddess. When she understood that humans would always worship her, she walked into the woods to live alone. Ave, a foolhardy brave knight, is saved by Lune in the woods and proceeds to traverse the multiverse-worlds with her to save their home world of Firleaves. Lune realizes that she can live with humanity after all and stays with Ave.

Download the audio and copy the lyrics for any song we don't have Timed Lyrics for on the Finished tab.

Go to the website listed above. Paste the lyrics into the text area then click 'Synchronize'. Click the Audio button and select the matching music file. Then start the playback with the START button.

Now you're basically just listening to the song and clicking once when each line starts. The "Next Line" button or spacebar/enter will mark the next line in white to show it's tagged. If you mess up, you can pause with the Continue button (now a timer) and click next to any lyric to rewind the song timing to that point. You can also edit the lyrics on the fly if you noticed the singer changed a line.

When you reach the end of the lyrics, the 'Next Line' button becomes 'Get File' to download the .lrc file to your PC. Just open the .lrc file with a text editor (plain Notepad works) and take only the timed lyric lines alongside timestamps and paste them into Rentry. Here's an example: https://rentry.co/ypef847z

To pretty up the file, highly recommended:
1. The new site doesn't keep verses/choruses separated, if you want it to look it's best you need to manually separate those. You can reference the Lyric link of the parody again for that if you need.
2. You should delete stuff like directions on pronunciation too.
3. Add an extra [00:00.00] timing to the start of the text, it makes the start clean.
4. Delete the website's advertising bit at the end.

a little competition is a healthy part of what we do here. writefags need their stuff to stand out to be used at all, singfags need to win death battles and hope nobody does a better version with different lyrics to stand out and of course they compete silently for song art and opener slots, even editors have a bunch of death battles lined up this year. It works to the musical's advantage and makes everything "earned" when it's not just by default. I think the average album art is great this year, but the way album art usually represents what the musical anons as a whole think should represent us is missing this year if there's not really choices on the art, since it's not even like a Vidya art can replace a Board Culture art.

People will get salty if the categories are very uneven too. I don't think a niche console-tan art a lot of people won't even recognize stands a chance against a popular gaming icon like Megaman+Samus or a BC icon like Janny when the art is equal in quality. Yeah that's exactly my point, it's a bit too similar so people won't prioritize it. The pro tip for next year is to not sing 1 until the other is done if you really want both done for the albums, people are less likely to tackle a song like that when they feel it's already represented heavily. It doesn't help that it's 2 copies of 1 deltarune song either, last year we got way more deltarune than anybody wanted and this year we're already up to like 3 Flower Mans sung and like 3 more written.

There are ways to swing it to make sense, like Poke The Toad is a game, but it's a /v/-made game so you can swing it as a board culture rep if Vidya is overrepped. I think continuing to do 1 big poll is the best choice, like you said people can prioritize voting for variety if they wish. We've never done Katawa Shoujo rep somehow but that's a close comparison imo, it's as board culture as it is vidya.

Great job. The instrumental I linked doesn't really have much for backings that are problematic, I left the 1 clear backing line alone in the lyrics so we can have a Brittney Spears "guest starring the original backing" situation. The zoo line is very muffled and shares key words so you won't be able to tell it conflicts most likely, the oohs and ahhs are fine, the only part we'd really want to UVR out is the "Sunday" said once near the end.
