What are the golden skulls going to give you as rewards? Rumble pack item needs to be changed since you'll have that by default. Rupees and wallets are useless in this game as there's nothing to buy and you always have a full wallet anyways. OoT economy is terrible and the only good quest rewards are heart pieces.

By handing you this, they demote the significance of what would be the first eye switch you encounter later in the dungeon, which is where you're supposed to actually figure this out by experimenting in a situation where you are free to leave, which encourages you to persist in trying new ways of interacting with things even when the game doesn't explicitly tell you what the next things to do is explicitly.
