I never see it get talked about, but 3 has far less platforming than the original, the levels are all very flatthere's a lot more gimmicks too, something all mascot platformer series seem to have more of the further along they go

>>749687990i imagine it's in part because the control of the character got progressively worse as the series went on. they kept nerfing gadgets and the players ability to make any horizontal distance at all.the only times the morph ability was kinda cool was the ninja and cyber ace for adding new traversal abilities like running on the tightropes or dashing across a gap.there was an area in a level towards the end of the game that was a cloud like area, you had to traverse across gaps with the cyber ace ability, that was memorable in a cool waythought that was coolgame should've had more of that
