The catalog is so shit, just tell me your last few games, what you're currently playing and how you're enjoying them, circlejerk rate each other and recommend good fun shit
I RECENTLY PLAYED WITH YOUR MANBOOBS LOLOLOLOLOL
>>749696182I'm playing Earthbound right now, the Phase Distorter is finally done and I'm about to take on the final boss. Overall it's a very solid game, I 100% get why this game has such a big cult following.
So much bidya to play rn I started the REmake1 after 20 yearsPlaying several RTS and a new MOBA called March of GiantsThen Bloodborne PC is a realityThen other 3 games I'm expecting will hit the store soon

Serious Sam TFE and TSE. Realised I'm a moron since I didnt notice until the middle of TSE that the cannon has a chargeup mechanic and there's a third person toggle.
>>749696182mushihimesama and void stranger
>>749696182Re1 directors cut on duckstation, despite my failing, enjoying it quite a bit also 90s graphics are peak soul
90% of my recent playtime in recent was Yo-Kai Watch Blasters ++. I love it the original Yo-Kai Watch Blasters is great time and the ++ mod makes it a lot better. I have been grinding orgarlus and I hate that boss now. Worst oni. I wish I was better at socializing so I could have and meet more people to play it with.Last night I continued a replay of HorrorVale. It's my favorite Halloween game. But it's something this website wouldn't be into. It's a stereotypical Earthbound clone.
>>749696182Well ai recently played prototype on my ps3(I am still impressed the game and console runs well) and twisted metal head on in my psp.Computer and monitor aren't connecting and work still owes me some money so life kind of sucks.
>>749696182>recently playedCorpse Party: Book of ShadowsDangan Ronpa 3>currently playingMorrowindAce Attorney 1学校であった怖い話
>>749696182>Carnevil, Deadlock, Alan WakeCarnevil is enjoyable, but emulating it without a light gun or a credit limit made my experience so much worse. It was good for a night.Deadlock is a bad habit.Alan Wake reminds me a lot of Deadly Premonition for some reason. It has very little in common, and they play nothing alike, but all I can think of is Greenvale while playing it.
>>749696883lilly route in janWhen I was injected with an antipsychotic that they immediately took me off of I had anhedonia really bad and could only deal with adventure games. But I can't blame it anymore, lately I'm seemingly mentally blocking the fact I'm avoiding school.I shoulda done Apollo Justice Ace Attorney earlier too for a bunch of reasons.I only really wanted to mention adventure games rn, don't feel like divulging what else. I mean games create more meaning than procrastinating with youtube or reddit. I've been wanting to cut out discord too. Nothing matters in life.
>>749696182>Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (PC)>Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (PS1)>Harry Potter and Philosopher Stone (PS1)Pretty fine weekend games, like 6 hours each PS game. Still playing Azkaban but the tech gigajump from PS to PC was something.
>>749696182Palworld. Can't get enough bnnuy clussy
>>749698428>Ace Attorney 1In jap I'm assuming>学校であった怖い話Oh shit I remember that one. It's been said no one would ever want to translate it due to the sheer amount of text, what with all the mini-variations and routes
>>749698929man i procrastinated hard on T&Tand I mean 8 years from playing first case.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ow0yifeFap8
>>749698509>It has very little in common
>>749696182>Recently finishedMetroid Dread. Played on Dread Mode. Actually pretty funHollow Knight Silksong. My GOTY even if Act 3 was pretty weak>Currently playingKingdom Hearts 1. Haven't played in a while so it's my reintroduction to the series
>>749696182Kirby's Return to Dreamland Deluxe is a good game and would've been amazing if I had played it at 13Denshattack and Dodgeball Academia are great weebcore games in spite of me not liking their aesthetics.Mario Odyssey is good. Though 3D Mario's been more consistent Its my 2nd time playing Beyond Good and Evil after 8 years and its still got soulMetroid Prime is just as fantastic as everyone said it was. Only issue is the lack of upgrades but thats more on me than anything
>>749696182OoT on NSO. Did a 3 hearts deathless run to see if I still got it. Much rougher than I remember.
>>749696182I have been doing backlog clearing lately so in the last 3 months ive done>pikmin>hl2 (unbelievable game)>hl2 episode 1>sonny and sonny 2>unicorn overlord>fire emblem 6 11 14 (peak) 7>pokemon red pokemon tower defense>sonic advance 1 2 3 >sonic rushThose sonic games only took 1 day to go through all 4 of them>super mario galaxy 2>baldurs gate 1>majoras mask 3d (genuine masterpiece game)>dark souls 2>castlevania aria of sorrow and harmony of dissonance Im doing the trader joe's method to clean up my backlog, but I find that as i make progress, I feel more drive to buy new games because I see how much progress im making and having a backlog is not as daunting anymore. Im finding action games harder to clear though because with the strategy games I could just wedge them into my lunch breaks or play them on my laptop bit by bit but action games are much more of commitments where you really need to be in the mood and keep your hands hot. I think the trader joe's method really takes the dread out of scrolling through your library and makes games a much more satisfying experience.
>>749696182Mafia 3STALKER 2Deep Rock Galactic SurvivorsCall of Duty Modern Warfare 4 campaign comes out tomorrowwill play Mafia: The Old Country and Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Edition once they come out on PS+ Extra in a weekthen it's Phantom Blade 0 and finishing up all of these games before the grand finale, yeah you guessed itGTA 6there's too much to play, honestly
>>749698929>in japYeah. First time playing the series. It's fun, currently on the final trial of the first game.>学校であった怖い話Really ahead of its time as a horror visual novel. You can shape the path of each story because the storyteller always asks on multiple occasions what you think happened in any given situation before telling you you're right and priceeding with the story regardless of what you chose, so a story about a spooky mirror can go in the direction of the mirror having a demon inside or being cursed to show the death of whoever looks in it, that sort of thing. The newly released Switch version also comes with the spiritual successor 晦-つきこもり, so that'll be next.
I played through the FAITH trilogy for the first time for October, pretty cool games, then I played a bunch of games from a one-man nip dev, lots of cute girls and some neat shmup-adjacent gameplayGoing to play Withering Rooms next>>749696891First and Second encounter are really fun, did you realize that you could also destroy statues and trees and stuff with rockets and grenades? That's how you wind up finding a lot of secrets.
Just beat Silent Hill f. I don't know if I should pirate Townfall or maybe jump into a JRPG like SMTV: Vengeance.
>>749696182It's a boring answer for the next few months, I'm hyperfocusing on FFXIV one last time. Above all else I want to do the Ultimates up to TOP before 8.0 but also want to get all the casual content done before then. Whatever remains in Ultimates and older Savages I'd slowly do as the opportunity presents itself from here on and as for the rest I shouldn't ever have a reason to glue myself to this game this hard again in the future.Rarely I throw in some ball gaming with a friend while waiting on people in XIV, but otherwise nothing really aside from playing some simpler older mobile game for a few minutes during commute.>recommend good fun shitI'd recommend not going into full-time wageslavery if you can avoid it.
>>749699667The fun of sonic games is autistically time attacking your favorite stages until you can get through them with no hiccups through sheer muscle memory. Beating them all in one day is such a waste
>>749696182Great thread idea OP.I've recently played and beat Control Resonant (great game btw, GOTY contender for sure).Just hit HR 50 in Monster Hunter Wilds, trying to get up to 100 before the DLC comes out (Omega is kicking my fucking ass, might have to break my solo rule and get the support hunters to help out). Gonna pick up the 1.0 version of Enshrouded coming out tomorrow and no-life that for a while. Probably gonna play the new Castlevania and the new FF Resonance game before PoE2 1.0 comes out, which I'm gonna no-life until the FFXIV expansion comes out.Tons of fucking games to play, really excited to play through them. My backlog is insane though, still need to play RE9, Pragmata, the DD2 DLC, Crimson Desert, etc.
>>749696182Good thread.>No More HeroesLoving the motion controls and presentation, but I don't like how the difficulty kind of plateaus at a certain point once you get all the different upgrades>Majora's MaskLiking it so far, even if it's a harder sell for me than OoT was>Red Steel 2Same as NMH, although I think this one has a worse control scheme
>>749696182>just tell me your last few gamesTrying to go through a horror game marathon, but mostly playing the RE games I hadn't played yet. In the past 30 days I have played:Resident Evil 7Resident Evil VillagePokemon GhostGrey (I keep shilling this romhack, it was pretty fun)LIMBOResident Evil OGResident Evil 2 OGResident Evil 3 OG>what you're currently playingI finished RE3 two days ago. I played REmak3 back in June and I didn't like it back then, but in retrospective after playing the original, they completely butchered the remake to an insulting degree. For now I'm just playing holodori while I decide what to play next.>and how you're enjoying themRE3 was a bit frustrating at times and I particularly didn't enjoy the dodge being tied to the same button to shoot, but it was still a really good game. holodori is a gacha rhythm game, I like it.Checking the horror games I have in my library that I haven't played yet, I have Dead Space 2, Deadlight, F.E.A.R. 2 and 3, Killing Floor, the Metro trilogy, Outlast 1 and 2, Scratches and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. original trilogy. What should I play next?
>>749696182I fell back on Kenshi for a good while, then Star Wars Galactic Racer came out and I've been having a blast with that lately.
>>749700231no way, a modern star wars game that is actually good?
>>749699667Oh which Pikmin? Just 1?
>>749700349Just 1. I already played 2 and 3 so they arent in my backlog
>>749700336I had my doubts too, but to my surprise, it is pretty solid, and is infact fun. It's made by ex Burnout devs, and the kind that understood the task on making a worthy racing game.
>>749699094That's Alan Wake 2, not 1, and both contain visual references to Twin peaks, but that wasn't what I was talking about.I was thinking about jank, and fighting shadows.
>>749696182>The catalog is so shitit really fucking is, what the fuck happened, why cant we just range-ban india, canada, and the entire middle east?
>>749699945I can vouch for RE9 and DD2 DLC, both are excellent. Haven't played Prag, and CD is painfully mediocre unless you really, really like vanilla open world games.
>>749700652just the way it is fren, you have to form small ethnic enclaves of decent threads instead and pray the schizos don't find them
>>749700675Nice, I already have DD2 so the DLC will probably be my next move after Enshrouded or the new Castlevania game. I put about 20 hours into CD before burning out, but apparently they've made a shitton of changes/improvements since release so I'll probably go back to it at some point
>>749699727so are you learning jap and for how long or are you japanese blood.I play chinese vn in its original text, no matter if I'm bad at it. and idk if I can apply that rule for jap or definitely korean games.

Got a free copy of Cliax Codec from here, so I've been playing that. In chapter 3 now. It's fun, a bit jank maybe but pretty ambitiousI'm not good at shmups or dodging bullets though. Fuck these fucking bonus levels.
>>749696182Expedition 33Hogwarts LegacyResonance: A Plague Tale
>>749701469I'm drunk and retarded so i cant follow instructions.>Expedition 33My favorite game of all time. It tickled my autism to a level never before seen.>Hogwarts LegacyNot a fan of the woke bullshit but it wasn't a bad game.>Resonance: A Plague TaleMore of the same as you would expect from a game like this.
bump
>>749696696is Little Nightmares any good?
>>749700950I've been learning for about fifteen years.Playing Japanese games/watching Japanese movies etc. in Japanese exclusively for the past ten years.Doesn't really take all that long to be able to play video games and if you already know a lot of kanji from Chinese then it'll be even easier.
I recently played through Gothic 2 without the expansionfirst time after 15+ years or so
licensed soul. even though the actual gameplay is terribly mid it's a cozy game to play in short bursts and the wannabe metroidvania design is neatand I'm about to set up a saturn emulator to play sega rally when I get home, looking forward to that>>749696381yeah I thought earthbound would prove to be overrated but it was damn good in almost every part of the game. even learned an rng manipulation route just to get the strongest weapon in the last zone. usually rpgs burn me out towards the end but not earthbound>>749701051does the first skate hold up?
ROLLA is awesome, Katamari where you size is your health and you're going for THPS-style goals for destruction and death with a great monster movie presentation, I loved the demo and the game's lived up to it.I downloaded a bunch of DSiWare on my homebrewed 3DS; Zombie BBQ is soulful and challenging but a couple of the bosses are just awful which drag it down. Ogre is a single-screen beat-em-up with 1 enemy sprite with colors, 1 boss sprite with different heads, and 1 major boss sprite, and you have an extremely small moveset and yet I'm enamored with it.Replayed Rondo twice (Richter & Maria) before my first-ever SotN playthrough mostly blind; got the bad ending in one 6-hour session and enjoyed it. I'll go back and get the inverted castle later this month I think; best part is all the direct Rondo level design put on the map.Prime Hunters would be really great if the Octolith Guardian fights weren't dogshit, still think I like it more than the only other Prime game I played (1) just because of the snappier combat and levels.
>>749696182Doom - Eviternity 2. It's very good, with lots of cool little touches, nice levels and a kickass new gun that can only be found in secret levels so you're encouraged to play continuous. Also Koikatsu if it counts. I made a first person scene where a shortstack gremlin chick is losing to me in strip poker. Also a Doom fangirl dark elf shooting Doom Eternal Imps in a strip club for some reason, I dunno I thought it looked cool.
>>749696182Been playing Etrian Odyssey Nexus, using a party that I had someone who hasn't played a single EO game put together from some brief descriptions and screenshots of the portraits. I do kind of hate how many fucking forests I'm having to go through, but the first few stratums do have very nice events.>Lush Woodlands has two bosses suddenly appearing out of nowhere>Primitive Jungle has Wyvern tossing you to B3F and you have to stay there until you find the way bakc>Waterfall Woods has the first active NPC party member who can join you for the boss fightI really wish I had subclasses already. There's no sources of buffs/debuffs in the party and the only status ailments are from War Magus, which inflicts a random one so I can't even choose what I get, which is a slight problem.
>>749702250Not worth the buy unfortunately. You can just watch a silent lets play and that would give you 90% of it, actually playing through it is overrated.
>>749696182I'm playing Soulcalibur III, Tekken: Dark Resurrection and Hatsune Miku Project Diva Future Tone. I actually recommend all of them
>>749702790i wanna move there for my bachelor's but havent got my act together yet. Only have 5 college language classes done but my degree isn't over nor am I fixed.
>>749696182finally, a good thread Playing Resident Evil Requiem. So far it's decent. I really like the Grace sections, but the Leon sections feel like it breaks the flow. I'm having fun sneaking around with Grace for 2 hours, then I go do a 15 minute section of shooting random shit with Leon, and then back to Grace. I think they should've just done an A/B scenario for this title instead of mixing them together.
playing dead frontier and milky way idle. Sometimes some runescape 3 and melvor idle as well.
>>749698874>curvy bunny clownmight've just convinced me to play this too
111 puzzles solvedI hate sokoban
>>749696182I've been on a Deadlock kick since the new update. Never played it before, but I had the invite sitting in my library since last year. Also discovered that Steam does game recording now so I've been using the game to test it out. I keep forgetting to start it, so like half my matches weren't saved to video.
I am playing wardogs, bf6, forever beta. Will look at the new arc raiders map and maybe dmz cause i liked the first one. Thinkong about Dogma dlc and Ace Combat 8 but i dont think i can make room for that atm.
What are the must-play games of 2026? I haven’t been playing anything new, just retro shit.
>>749707126Pragmata is my game of the year, so I highly recommend it.
>>749707126the ones I played were Mina the Hollower and Dynasty Warriors 3 Complete Edition Remastered and they were both pretty good
>>749703507>usually rpgs burn me out towards the end but not earthboundMakes sense, Earthbound is very short (by RPG standards) and makes very good use of its run time. Besides the Monkey Cave, there's very little in the way of filler.>even learned an rng manipulation route just to get the strongest weapon in the last zoneCare to share?
>>749707126for me it's Mewgenics, Palworld, AC8, Galactic Racer, and Rhythm Heaven Groove
>>749707837+1 for Rhythm Heaven
last games i finished>TROUBLESHOOTER: Abandoned Children10/10 elder god tier kino>Granblue Relink Endless Ragnarokbretty good dlc, if you liked the base game you'll have a blast>Xenoblade Chronicles 1kino, wish i played it sooner. gonna play 2 and 3 soon>Yakuza 6this was a re-play, underrated Yakuza entry even if it's not perfect
>>749707126mina. Aethermancer. Thats it
>>749696182I have been playing RuneScape dragon wlilds for the past 3 weeks. it's alright decent it's gonna be getting updates etc was playing stranger of paradise a while back solid game too liked the job class mix up
>>749707801Sex with Coco.
>>749706641the mirror isles are completely filtering me, it's embarrassing. Finished the heroes path no problem
>>749698428>that VNThe most unforgettable horror porn game I've ever played. No other game had a bunch of elementary schoolers gangbang a teenage girl against a wall. And the teenage girl loved it. No other game I've played had a 17 year old bishonen guy drink a 14 year old girl's piss and chase her down the hall to rape her, only to wind up getting anally raped by a 32 year old fat man. I still remember the scene where a 16-17 girl was hiding under a bed as her same age best friend was having sex with that same 32 year old fat guy on top. She heard every moan, bed shake and sound. In the wrong end she was discovered under the bed by her friend and made to join. A most terrifying scene was when an unwilling girl relives another girl's sex memories. The girl in the memory consented but the reliving girl didn't. It didn't matter that she was mentally screaming, her body in the memory did all the motions and actions as in history. It's like mind control rape except the victim was fully aware. Another scene the same girl and a friend were almost raped in a magic sex ritual, saved by the girl's older sister, and the backlash made the older sister want to rape her younger sister and friend. The loli in this pic is freakishly lewd and once disguised herself as a teenage girl, fucked a boy until he nearly came, transformed back saying>You thought you were having sex with a highschooler weren't you? I'm an elementary schooler all along! And leglocks that boy, forcing him to cum inside her unprotected, when he screams in fear upon learning this. This isn't even getting into the tentacles, the gay sex, the lesbian sex, the incest, the sequel's mother/daughter lesbian scene, etc. The first chapter alone contains lots of lesbian sex scenes with an unavoidable girl masturbating in the bathroom. Truly horror is intrinsically connected with sexuality.
>>749709521south path is the hardest for me so far
>>749707126Control Resonant is a must-play imo
