Harvest Moon is dumb copyright shit and basically modern harvest moon has no connection to any of the games that existed when you think about them.
Story of Seasons is Harvest Moon, but they haven't made anything of note in a long time

Reminder. Natsume STOLE the Harvest Moon from Marvelous.

Marvelous created the entire Harvest Moon franchise. When they gave rights to Natsume to localize it, they were idiots and didn't check the license so they mistakenly give them all the rights to anything named Harvest Moon in the US.

Now Marvelous is not allowed to name their games Havest Moon. So these days they name it Story of Seasons. Meanwhile Natsume make the fake Harvest Moon games under the Harvest Moon name.
