I hate to bitch about a game I havent beaten yet, but this feels kinda bad?
In comparison to Three Houses I got to pick a lord, go through their route, and experience a complete, satisfying story from beginning to end focused on that lord.

So far in the war arc, not only did a bunch of shit happen off screen, but I go from playing Dietrich's route, to playing Theodora/Bertrand's part 2 from the sidelines as Dietrich.
Like imagine you pick Claude in 3H then the timeskip happens and suddenly Byleth and Claude are just participating with zero agency as vassals for Edelgard/Dmitri in their war.

The dumb bad pacing of this entire games setup is likely staying. The DLC might complete the process, but the original sin remains.
