I thought it was disappointing but still had a few fun highlights.

Really good dlc but it feels strange. There is 1 big 5 man quest and they all sit in the same spot for most of the dlc and you are free to go all over the place for no reason except to explore for your own sake.
DS1's DLC is easily the worst, it's literally just cut content and a reskinned area from the base game

>>749764830There is a Miquella cross there, a demin-human boss that fights with a star sword, a demi-human queen with a corrupted Marika name so you can get more themes to pick up on the lore, an underground cave leading to an npc evergaol on an island, a guy meditating under one of the big gnarled bird trees with a trina recipe book so you get come awesome lore there, it leads to one of the Metyr bell crash sites, has a shack hidden off alone with another recipe book about fingers, and it has another hole (make sure to get the other trina book close by before going down) leading to the underground place where Miquella left trina. It is also layered under an area above it with red flowers so when you look on the map and see the red and blue flower zones overlapping you get clued in to the twin-bird events that happened there. Pic rel isn't the same area but it is the same type of tree the corpse meditating with the trina book is.
PCR was a better boss than Malenia gameplay wise.
