Paige and Graves already pushed it, but Violet has basically cemented the game's complete departure from its original setting. There is nothing in the way Violet acts that is like a Deadlock character. She is completely anachronistic. Her lines are about stuff like rent, her parents making her play an instrument, going to political rallies, and being mad at her parents for wanting her to get a real job.Graves and Paige had similar problems. Graves just doesn't look like she belongs in Deadlock and acts too much like a stereotypical modern teenager, but she at least kept her lines primarily about her lich so she was in the setting. Paige is a librarian, which existed back then, but she still came across as being a bit too modern. Violet is just full on Seattle native from 2016. I am shocked she doesn't have a line about Student Loan Debt.
