I found the first game boring. I enjoyed the combat, the fluidity of animations, combos,and chaining felt great. But everything else felt tacked on. Side missions were GTA style "walk and walk" shit before arriving at an area, killing one enemy, followed by more walk and talk. The open world is utterly pointless, it's pretty but there is literally nothing to see or do in it, besides walking around looking at identical wood huts and killing the same enemies you kill during missions. The upgrade system is completely tedious, loot is exclusively just bits of cloth and lumps of iron, how exciting, which you craft into upgrades to give you marginally higher numbers and that's it, not a single unique loot item in the game.I would have enjoyed it a lot more as a linear melee action game, just have me go from A to B rushing the main story and let me choose a perk each chapter. It had no business being open world or including all of the half assed shit it did.
