Its all just an evolution of that. I'm all for gatekeeping, but this is a bad area to gatekeep in. Some people have a much better mind for general game design philosophy than they do writing code and there is nothing wrong with that.I don't like this game, but its a very poignant example; Undertale. The developer of that game knew dick all about programming, but clearly had good ideas for the game itself that resonated with a lot of people. It is good if people like this can more easily make games, even if it means some extra slop exists online. You never realistically see it unless you look for it anyway. The amount of people paying real money to list a game on Steam they expect to be received poorly is low.

Quake 1 has been getting lots of updates to its sourceports, and while there has been some real slop copy/pasted from Claude, plenty of the long-term developers have been adding features they've always wanted to add but couldn't justify the time for. I see it as a net positive.

I have a really basic idea I want to try applying an AI code to (restoring the option to switch voice languages in Soul Calibur II HD Online that is present in the Japanese version of the game but not the international releases) but I don't really know how to get started since I never tried this shit before.
