Novice TES Lore
>OMG the Stormcloaks are totally the good guys, not the Empire

Apprentice TES Lore
>Yoo the Aldmeri want to unmake reality by destroying the Towers

Journeyman TES Lore
>Vivec is so cool, everything is a dream lmao, just achieve AMMARANTH and NUMANTIA

Expert TES Lore
>If the Aedra are Divine, how are they fallible? Also isn't Talos Divine just because he bought a robot and is good at genocide? Why is he mantling Lorkhan who is Padomaic? I have to investigate further.

Master TES Lore
>So the Daedric Princes are the Padomaic good guys who lead life to a Divinity they otherwise refuse for they fear its infinite freedom, and everyone else just exists in repetitive struggle because they assumed their ignorance would protect them from what they fear, not realizing that Lorkhan (who is also the House of Troubles incarnate) essentially made them turn on themselves and left them in denial giving them no choice other than to either stall or achieve Divinity.

Huh? I know what both of those are but how does Lorkhan relate to them.

Esoteric Oblivion and Shivering Isles lore and symbolism that completes a Morrowind subplot that almost no one read or picked up on.
tl;dr
>The House of Troubles represents the Manifestations of what must be overcome
>Malacath represents 'broken promises' (ie imperfection in the Anuic world treated as perfection), Molag Bal the fear of 'conflict and domination' (overcoming inferior positions, Vivec famously fails this and is raped), Mehrunes Dagon (fear of artificial continuity manifest as time being broken, have to study Mankar Cammoran to learn this) and Sheogorath (transformation, inability to accept contradictions and break out of ones own worldview)
>Lorkhan is a trickster manifest version of them, Sheogorath being his most prominent aspect
>The entirety of Shivering Isles is a play about 3-person relations, and is about converting the player into every 'actor' in the story, similar to the Enantiomorph, and is also why Sheogoraths symbolism is all 3 Heads (the Portal to Shivering Isles, Mania/Dementia and Sheogoraths palace, the previous Sheogorath/current Sheogorath/Sheogorath as Jyggalag etc), constant relation of Sithis/Padomay/Sheogorath together
In other words, people in the 'Anu-Padomaic world' are those who've yet to recognize, let alone overcome the esoteric aspect of the house of troubles. This is different from the other Daedra who are otherwise either guides or merely representations of nature that is averse to mortality (ergo why all the Daedra are true immortals. Hircine and his realm can only exist as immortals, Hermaus Mora can only exist if he has the ability to eternally remember and archive things etc)

so, Mundus is basically a hot-mess of incomplete spirits trying to make sense of things
The Aedra preside over 'greasing the gears of this system' ergo they are 'Order'. However on top of that, all of the Aedra (especially Akatosh) represent the 'rolling of the gears towards their own non necessity' as well (ie transcending the necessity of the two-sided Aedric function).
The Daedra represent 'free Spirit' that does not structurally or conditionally depend on interdependence to exist like Mundus.

Originally before Lorkhan, everyone who is proto-Aedric was in a position they thought was perfect, but was an inter-dependant structure. They were satisfied but imperfect, their being had potential but due to being unmoving could not reach that immortal state. Like a House of Cards. The proto-Daedra (who always embody murder) wanted to show them otherwise and so collapsed it, by 'tricking them'. The trick is effectively that instead of being in that house of cards, if they overcome the condition set upon them by Lorkhan (which is represented or manifest or embodied by the 4 Troubles) they will have achieved said Spiritual Immortality that transcends dependency and condition, and the procedure by which the Imperfect tries to become Perfect is represented by 'Time' which is a way of 'wrangling' the imperfection/jenga/interdependancies/condition.

Its technically incorrect to say that it simply takes 'time to achieve it', rather time is the method by which attempts are made by the Imperfect to create variables that can grant insight that will eventually culminate in said perfection and immortality beyond time. Its why Akatosh is so Schizo in TES and there's all this shit about Dragon Breaks etc, it's one of the more esoteric yet integral interpretations of time written down. Time itself manifesting through Akatosh non linearly is itself the 'Elder Scroll' which contains fragments of this ultimate truth.

Ok now explain what the fuck it up with Landfall

Its actually pretty simple, Michael Kirkbride left after Morrowind and his out of game, Vivec centered lore was centered around Vivecs 'third position metaphysics' which attempted to justify its own imperfections and compromises in its failure to uphold the original Chimer Gods and Daedra. In essence, Vivec attempts a compromise between the Aedric (Anu-Padomaic) and Daedric (Padomaic) perspective, and fails for the same reason that the word 'Padomaic' is in both categories' description.

However, mainline TES Lore as per Oblivion, Shivering Isles and Skyrim kept the Padomay-centered truth, with Mankar Cammoran and Shivering Isles explicitly validating the Daedric Tribunal's perspective and lore (along with their own additions).

C0DA/Landfall is a future in which Vivec's future and metaphysics is posed as 'true', essentially in which Nirn never actually solves the topic of condition and immortality. For those who havent read it, C0DA ends with the retraction of Lorkhan from Mundus essentially leaving a half-finished Anu-Padomaic world where everyone can be a God of their own small worlds, but ones who are not metaphysically complete regards to not being 'free from condition, inter-dependency and structure' like the Padomaic spirits. In essence, if the world before C0DA is 'trying to escape limitation' then the world of C0DA is a scifi universe that gave up on that goal and is just chilling. In other words, C0DAs future itself is basically a VR pod dystopia unrelated to the ultimate story of Anu-Padomay, where Anu-Padomaic nature (presented as purely Anuic) is seen as the end goal yet paradoxically a beginning without a solution for any of the problems, but rather just a way to make existence within Nirn seemingly less torturous for mortals (who are still effectively mortal and imperfect). It ironically mirrors the notion of just playing the modded TES games without the actual thing that makes TES 'The Elder Scrolls' progress

This one is a bit cryptic but
You know how brains work? They're very recursive and meta and they turn fluid intelligence into possibility etc.
Elder Scrolls 'contain past present and future', however in isolation that doesn't say much, and reading them blinds mortals. In reality, the whole of the history of the setting is one big Elder Scroll. And what is an Elder Scroll? They're basically recursive parts of the Brain of the setting's organism and the process by which it learns, brains-in-brains. By completing the prophecy in an Elder Scroll, that knowledge gets 'crystalized' as per the setting. You know how people IRL use flashcards? In contrast, Sheogoraths madness represents intelligence free from that crystallization, which is why Jyggalags invasion is represented by a bunch of Crystals attacking from Nirns Portal.
