Remember all the massive seething against ai in videogames a year ago?
Funny how fast that died the moment started writing code

only a retard with zero work skills or understanding in computers would think like that.

anybody with a brain understood from day 1 this will change the world in everything, and some losers simply realized they are going to be replaced because all they can do is paint like a toddler, or do some paper work behind a desk, or take some orders.

western human artists are bluewig entitled freaks though.

I dont understand why artists are against ai. If their style got stolen, then fine, that anger is justified. But from broader perspective, wasnt artists are always against the commodification of art since the dawn of time? I know that commission exist, but art has always been an idealistic space and it stood on the opposite side of materialism that constantly clashing with the ideal side of art; the people who draw art -particularly from modernist era- has always been left leaning and anti capitalistic; money to them is like cadmium to a riverstream. I mean, this is the chance to make that dream comes true, no? To have the entire art to be un-commodified, un-capitalized, and un-monetized? You could work as corporate sales and marketing and do art as loisirs and, you know, let your idealism flow or whatever in there without any demand, without any transaction, without any money being involved; let AI take over the entire art as commodity and you can rest now, to put it simply. So why did you get mad about it? I dont think theres a reason to get mad about it unless money and exposure is what youre after in here

wanna know how to make literally 100k a year without working? you could sleep, masturbate, play vidya and get 100k a year, no work required except:
> step 1. have $2,000,000 to invest
> step 2. open a brokerage account
> step 3. buy $2,000,000 face value of 5% coupon bonds
> step 4. receive $50,000 every 6 months
> step 5. receive $100,000 per year
> step 6. do not spend the $2,000,000
> step 7. at maturity, get the $2,000,000 back
> step 8. repeat if bonds still pay 5%
> profit: $100,000/year (before tax)

It's actually so funny that for all the talk of it displacing workers, the only industry that has gotten demonstrably assfucked so far is software engineering.
Easily the biggest self-own of the century, and well deserved considering how some of these guys were acting when the first genai tools started appearing. They had it pretty good with cushy do-nothing jobs that paid well for a while and now they've all been exposed as frauds.

The math stuff is kinda funny too because in a normal economy no one would be throwing this many resources at solving problems like that without a profit incentive. These companies basically got baited into doing a bunch of research that will benefit everyone on their own dime lmao.

You'd think that through sheer quantity someone would've been able to slop out something that passes by now.

Even just succeeding once would make all their detractors eat crow so there's a pretty big incentive to pull it off, yet no one's been able to do it yet. Seems silly to waste a ton of time philosophizing over it when you could just demonstrate by example - if you can.

It's not capable of "teaching itself", AI generated data sets lead to hallucinations. It's incestuous. They still need human-made data. One of the reasons why the rise of AI slop on the internet is such a problem.

Trannies don’t want AI porn since it’s not soaked in their degeneracy and illness. They like crude scribbling since it shows their weakness. So sleek refined renders ruin it for them.

They claim that artwork is about “communication” which is why they don’t give a fuck when their projects never find an audience and never achieve any game or story goal. It’s just a way of transmitting their brain damage socially, and AI doesn’t have it.
>>
>>750048396
>They still need human-made data

this right here is the crucial part. this is why billionaires haven't exterminated 80% of humans who lost their jobs.
these people will be paid to shitpost online and write shit and create "art" that still has some value for AI to harvest and get smarter.

A stepping stone to what? What is the purpose of a "multi-purpose" robot? Why would I want a machine optimized for a broad assortment of every day tasks if I'm going to employ it to do a very small subset of those tasks over and over again in an assembly line setting? The whole point of mass production is that it eliminates these variables and reduces the entire production process to reproducible steps. I could design a machine purpose-built for cracking and scrambling eggs, why would I need to spend all this extra money on a general-purpose robot that is capable of drawing pictures and driving a car and walking the dog and taking out the trash and all this other "general-purpose body" shit if I'm just gonna plant him in one place 24/7 to mindlessly crack and whisk eggs?

It's retarded. Exactly as retarded as creating a robot trained on the corpus of all human text ever produced so that 1/10000th of its processing power can be used to try and figure out how to shit out badly optimized javascript and sell that to me as a "coding assistant". You couldn't make a purpose-built robot for code? I don't get who this is for.

You're living underneath a rock this past few month? I'll spell it out for you, plainly and simply so for your feeble luddie brain can comprehend it

>next, there is proof for Call of Duty that gets combined with Tony Hawk Skateboarding
>then, I have seen Dark Souls and Elden Ring combat implement and integrated into Skyrim
>Kingdom Hearts is fully integrated with all sorts from games
I can continue, but I do not want to burst your bubble.

See? Notice how, all of the luddies say "The bubble will burst! The bubble will blow itself!!"

But in fact, you are the once constantly saying otherwise, and in fact, your's is the bubble that is bursting time and time again.

Just admit it, luddie, your time is coming to a close. The AI countdown is begun.

why do indians love ai so much?
>>
>>750051803
How come is it always Indians you'll point the fingers at, Timmy? It's a simple matter of fact, the reason that AI is employed to such degrees in India is because that country is at the four front for advances.
America, on the other hand, is full of prom queens and people who will rather watched saved by the bell than take time studying. Further, it's also why Tech companies are so advanced in wishing for Indian Technologists to come to the country and help to train them from it.

You don't need a landlord or a grocery store clerk. You need food, furniture and a place to live. Those things are things. AI will lead to there being more things. There being more of something means that attaining it is easier.
People don't starve because they aren't spending 8 hours digging and refilling a hole. They starve because there is no food.

>What is the purpose of a "multi-purpose" robot? Why would I want a machine optimized for a broad assortment of every day tasks if I'm going to employ it to do a very small subset of those tasks over and over again in an assembly line setting

It's to be able to replace human laborers. To participate in the human world, you need hands; almost everything is designed to be used by human hands. These autonomous humanoid robots with hands can just be dropped right in.
Your question makes it seem like human laborers are useless too because assembly line machines exist.

>I want assembly line robots!
So then get one, they're not going anywhere. A humanoid robot replaces human workers and servants, not assembly line machines. They may maintain and control those machines, though (like human workers do already).
>>
>>750052409
It would be the board of directors who make that decision, who are in turn appointed by the majority stakeholders.
Many boards of directors are interlocking, which means CEO A sits on the board of companies B, C, and D, and CEO B sits on the board of companies A, C, and D; etc. They're not going to vote to eliminate each other's jobs. It'll take a great deal of shareholder activism (or industry trends) to overcome that.

Lmao at the world-traveling goalposts
A big aspect of what I love about AI is that I never have to give a fuck about “universal acclaim” anymore. I don’t have to listen to people who expect me to sell games to everybody to make a game.

When you do that, you have to market your game to people who hate you, which for me means gays trannies tumblr-tier artists etc. If they don’t like my manly games, they can stick to their communities.
Since there were so many people like that in art communities before AI, encouraging me to get an art career was essentially synonymous with encouraging me to have a masochism fetish. And that that’s what it was really all about for those “artists:” motivating everybody to be perverts, and they’re so angry that art creation is purged of degeneracy by AIs that have no sex drive building games.
>>750048396

>>
>>750056560
There’s no logical reason to ask this question. I’m 100% on topic.

There goes another reason why you people hate AI: if you tell it some faggoty nonsense, it won’t do anything for you. You have to say things that actually make sense to get anything from it.
>>750056670
The scat fixation is certainly strong with AI haters.

Like I said, before AI all I had to work with to make my games was people with your kind of interpretation, as they gaytekept other people from creative communities, and I had no conservative connections. Now AI just goes ahead and does all the action, suspense, cinematic moments, brutal story pathways, etc and does everything I was looking for.

Theft implies something is stolen. Nothing is being stolen because those retards retain their works, labor, and original file while AI makes a copy. It's the same bad logic statists use to argue against piracy. IP is a state granted monopoly and luddism is a plague (has been since Socrates tried to argue against writing).

I just think it's funny you'd bring up the art community, cause this stuff isn't that different to all the 90s kids dumping bad sketches onto deviantart. When it was invariably mocked or ignored, they'd cope by saying people just didn't understand their style or whatever.

So you know what, maybe ai isn't such a bad thing if it cultivates a new generation of lolcows like this. You go guy, let your muse fly I say.
