I'd pick up both Legacy and the Quidditch game for the deep sale prices on Steam (or keysellers) as they're both worth it, if not perfect. Its literally like $3 for the deluxe edition. We need to gacha it up next time! which is really a pity. All they needed to do was A) offer a free play option to serve as a demo so that if people enjoyed it they could buy straight out. B) add some seasonal additional content, new modes of play and events, and perhaps some additional campaigns and C) focus primarily on the campaign, co-op and other casual play not ranked PVP shit as that is not sufficient to sustain users as just about every fucking RTS has found out that as much noise is made most people aren't ladder fags. They could have even done pretty well selling expansions, battle passes (so long as they were not the kind that expired in a given time. Instead, you buy premium, you can always go back and put your XP/currency towards unlocking a pass you owned etc) and other DLC, if they kept the game itself B2P and just added a free mode with more limited features/customization.
