54 hours in314 puzzles solvedI still have no idea how to get to the southwest. I've finished all the stone and mirror puzzles, but I still can't get to the other side of the overworld
>>750102530???
>>750102950did that area it's a dead end
>>750103089No it isn't?
Only chads can solve this level
Do I need to somehow make a three way cycle or is that the wrong path
>>750103089If the idea of moving sideways is scary you can also go south from where you are in the OP image. It's okay anon, I believe in you.
>>750103089What was the lesson that area and the puzzles in that area were trying to teach you? How could you use that lesson to progress?
>>750103231idk where to go really, i suck cock at navigation >>750103396I connected the top and bottom but i still can't figure out the south west >>750103379You have to make it skip a beat
>>750103379Oh god this one took me hours basically you need to make it so that you can teleport once, without triggering the pink blocks, move the mirror, then teleport to the exitThis involves using the mirror and the water to stagger the timing
>>750103580I'm almost certain a very particular space unlocked when you did the last level in that area, go stand in it, look to your right, and then look at the big word in your screenshot.
>>750103580That Torc room isn't navigation, it's a puzzle. But also the top and bottom connection: you can move west from that golden room. You have all the overworld progress you need to do it.
huh
>>750103695>you can move west from that golden room. You have all the overworld progress you need to do it.They go a fuckass dragon over there with a rock in front of him,you are probably rightill stare at the screen for few more minutes and it should work out
>>750103919>The rape dungeon
I can't even tell if I'm on the right trackLast puzzle I had to crystallize the girl and put her on a raftNot sure how to do that and undo it later here
>>750103970what does he do to crystals
>>750103919think bigger picture
>>750104035I'm trying but I can't figure out how to get any other crystals over, that one mirror ones up and it seems a lot like I'm supposed to teleport a crystal with it but I can't figure out the mirror jank to get there
>>750104170Don't know what the fuck I was trying to say, I mean I see the mirror to the left but don't see how to shimmy a crystal towards it at all
>>750104031Makes them into plantsI know this pauses the lilypad if the crystal is on one when he does itIt can also cause a rolling crystal to fall into the water on reversion and possibly change the flow
so how does this work, do I leave and a later part 2 takes place on the same map, or am I able to continue and get the rest of the tressure?
I just can't take a game called Order of the Stinking Saar seriously
>>750104214If you can't get the crystal out then the only other option is
Also stuck on this level. I just need one of the two to unlock the last antipodePlease
>>750104440hey what if you moved one space to the left
>>750104440Nevermind fucking did it, I'm free
>>750104548Also from that space they were stuck. Any movement by any hero was a fail state
>>750104587Yes, I meant instead of what you were doing.
finished ending 3 in picrel amount of hours. honestly expected this game to be a bit longer considering the "500+ hour puzzle game" advertising, but i'm also happy that it's over because honestly it gets really tedious at the end, especially the exit low area, so much redundant stuff i was waiting for it to be over more than anything. the levels i've skipped i will probably do over the next 15-20h, but this should be a good estimate for how long reaching the end takes for people who didn't already come into this game as sokoban experts.things i liked most:>incredibly addictive>good difficulty curve for sokoban newbies like myself>very well designed puzzles, especially at the start and in the middle>the transition from 2d to 3d was fantastic>very pretty and fantastic sound designthings i disliked:>some bugs, though nothing gamebreaking that wasn't fixed in a patch>a few puzzles were genuine bad eggs and the game would have been better without it. looking at you, looped pocket world mirrorable mirrors billion buttons puzzle>i expected a bit more from layer 3 than just more of the same puzzles considering how great layer 2 was. it also felt a little incohesive, there was probably much less time put into it than the previous layers>the ending didn't feel like an actual proper end to a game. i expected a string of some very difficult levels but instead only got some basic puzzle design lessons. felt like the devs just showing off their technical skill more than anything actually useful or fun9/10, because while the game was overall awesome it did have a handful of minor issues and i didn't like the ending.i recommend to all people of all ages (excluding sokoban sweats because it would never really get hard enough to be interesting for them)
what is this tile w/ the little white marks?
>>750104809An object that gets restored when you restart the thing
idle/low iq/brainfog gang report without shame
Nothing satisfies like a puzzle solved
>>750104804Dang, disappointing to hear that the last part gets tedious. But I'm with you in that it gets addicting as fuck.I looks like I'm midway through, but I think I'll start slowing down just so I don't burn out, although it's hard when the game keeps throwing new mechanics at you constantly and wants you to toy with them. like mirrorable mirrors just now, or the dragon modifying the lasers which was a dopamine rush [\spoiler]
>>750105854>Dang, disappointing to hear that the last part gets tediousto be fair it's just the very last couple of hours. the rest is fine and enjoyable
What was the intended solution to this?
>>750104214Find the one tile in the level that feels the loneliest and most remote.
Just did the first vault of the beamcasters. The first half was really fun and then the gem belt thing was gay aids unfun, and didn't even make sense. I can turn around in a tile (which means I must turn left at some point to get turned around) but I'm physically unable to just stop half way through?
>>750106945speak of the devil also hello to a fellow slowpoke
>>750104804>layer 3Does this part introduce anything fundamentally new, like layer 2, or is it more of a greatest hits or remix zone?
>>750107975Just more, deeper, weirder interactions.
>>750108124
>>750107836Nice. I'm at pic related.
>>750108262Those levels are fun. When you finish the last one at the top, check the zoomed out camera.
>>750108524nta but I did see that. is it something for later? I wasn't able to figure out how to get to it. Is it possible to actually reach after unlocking everything in this area?
>>750103379>>750105478I did these 2 really quickly. But the one before puzzled me for like a week. I didn't realize that you had to break the mirror.
>>750102530The only way I would ever play this monotonous dogshit is if someone did an AI decomp and mashed it up with Donkey Kong Bananza so I could just punch through all the stupid fucking blocks
>>750108524I don't see shit.
>>750109492less zoomed out camera.
>>750109635Okay. I figured it out.Map-view runs at a slideshow for me on my laptop.Abandoning thread before I see any more spoilers.
>>750103692>>750103695Thanks man it worked out
Slow anon here. How do I get to more beamcaster stuff? I really like those puzzles and I can see there's a big chunk of map over there but it all seems to be locked off from the inside. I've done everything around it, do you have to drop in or is there some beam stuff in a further away area that shines through previous areas to unlock it?
>alter beamI just did the fuckhuge level and all I can say is that it is appropriately named.
>>750112669gotta go back and slog through skipping stones and shit.
Can't get them to hit each other.. I think. Can dump one of them in the water, but then the mirror is stuck
>>750112924what else can you do when you have two mirrors like that?
>>750113037I can duplicate things, but can't see how that helps
>>750113198haven't you done some puzzles where you only need duplicates temporarily?
>>750113238got it thanks. I don't think I've done any puzzles before though where I had to lower the amount of enemies, only where I had to make more enemies
... uh, jonathan, we need to talk
I'm doing Heroes and Light (Advanced) in the northwest. The puzzles with the Wizard and the beamcasters.I'm doing well, but I feel like I'm solving half of these by accident. Did anyone else feel this way?
anyone else feels like there's way too many priestess-walks-on-water puzzles?
>>750114530blow would've needed about two decades of QA for there to be a consistent difficulty curve.
>>750114814No he wouldn'tThe puzzles just feel like they're out of order, like Sinking Stones 3 feels like the tutorial while 1 is harder than both 2 and 3
>>750114814I think the real issue is that it's too easy to stumble onto the solution. This is the only area so far where I've noticed this happening with some frequency.
>>750114873>The puzzles just feel like they're out of order"putting them in order" would be a consistent difficulty curve anon.
>>750114962thats what im saying yes
>>750114998and that would take a long time.
Anybody else here have a job?
>>750115032no it wouldnt
>>750115131Okay then, do it.
>>750115080>7 hours for 28 eight solvedyou're using it as a screen saver right?
midgame(?) spoilerbros i'm scared, do i take the plunge?i had a weird feeling that i know the answer to the red tile puzzle and only later i realized it's hinted in the credits level
>>750115080Yeah, and two kids. 268 solved in 35 hours. I play while eating dinner at 1:30AM when I get home. The kids like watching when I do beam stuff but they aren't quite old enough to really help, they just like the lasers and carts.
> in the little "cleric and enemies" section> take a second to realize she can walk past enemies over water but after that breeze through all the puzzles> get to the last puzzle with the 2 goblins and the heroes on different banks of a 3 wide river> utterly stumpedI think I learned the wrong lesson over the past few levels and now I'm trying to figure out what the right one was
So did anyone figure out what was the 069,104 thing in the tutorial about? I've completed the game (all three layers) and I still don't get it.
>>750116360I am stuck here, too. Haven' t been back in a few days. Working through Stones and Mirrors now.
>>750115080yep but luckily i can just play it at work
(post third endgame spoilers)the way this was phrased made me feel a little sad :(
>>750116717sex with bard and janaila
Bros, I'm worried. Finished the main game and went to the second area, but I'm really feeling burned out. Solving very similar puzzles just with height added really feels samey. Maybe it's time to get back to books.
>>750119801its fine to take breaksagree that the second layer's puzzles are maybe a bit tutorial-y sometimes
>>750119801Go east (mirrors), it has the most interesting puzzles right off the bat.
Loved the solution to this puzzle. So many good puzzles here, it's crazy. Blow outdid himself. This may end up as better than The Witness for me (one of my top 5 games ever)
anybody else struggles to even find puzzles left in overworld(despite being only at 233 solved)? I'm probably missing some obvious ways to generate new paths this is the only puzzle I currently have access to and it's filtering me, maybe it will open some path but alas arrows only go from blockages to puzzles not the other way around
>>750121837i dont think this one opens a path. not sure if it's even a capstone level, i think it opens after the capstone as an extra special challenge.when i was cleaning up the overworld i reliably was able to just move towards the fogged squares and find a way in eventually, so just do that
>>750121837post your map, then we can give you a hint or point you in the right direction
how the FUCK do you beat this level
>>750114778I love those puzzles.
>>750122496That's a great level. Have fun!
>>750122496I just finished it ;^) pretty fun>>750122227>>750122025I don't wanna hint was just wondering if it's supposed to be hard to find new paths, if not I'm missing something obv
