as an RPG game enjoyer, should i bother pirating this? is it worth my time?
>>750132825I remember it being pretty good, but I was bad at assessing the quality of RPGs then. It sure is much better than Returns, though. Also, it's got some nice music: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bGRu24qWcXQ
Cyberpunk and fantasy do not mix
>>750132825its ok.Glory is a qt.
>>750132825yeah i liked it. i want to learn how to use the custom mission maker thing, but i’m brainlet.
>>750132825not really
i wanna climb that mountain
it's good but your enjoyment will heavily depend on how into the genre you are and whether you care for the fantasy/spiritual elements of shadowruns setting. the game feels like it has/had potential for lots of cool custom campaigns but the tools don't let you go far enough imo. i enjoyed the story but didn't feel much urge to replay it
>>750132825play hong kong instead, it's an upgrade in every way, most significantly the cast of companions
>>750133696Dragon fall has glory, the best companion. And not some waifu faggot, I really enjoyed her story.>>750132825Yes. The story is really good. Gameplay is just OK, but once the story hooks you, you won't care. You're going to want to play a street samurai, other classes are kind of boring. If you have self control, you can use console cheats to give your street samurai all the decker's hacking bullshit too, feels better this way imo. But you need to have the self Control to not make yourself busted and OP
It's pretty gud
>>750132825Is this the best cyberpunk rpg of all time?
>that one animation where glory rapes a guy to steal his semen for a missionwew
I enjoyed all three games. >>750133195Yes
>>750133323There are ways to speed up the process. But they would not be popular here.
>>750132825Samurai ghoul bro was cool. Chicks were cool. Quests were fun. Had that perfect mix of tongue n' cheek humor and good worldbuilding. Combat could get a bit basic at times. Haxxing was neat. Kino music. >That mission at the celebrity party>Bring Galjo or whatever the samurai ghoul's name was.>Pass him off as a dressed up actor for your new movie
>>750133696>No punk shaman>No meathead unga girl>No GloryNah
>>750134517how? there’s little to no programming involved. you just need to learn the UI and then also have an ounce of creativity. both of which im lacking cos im quite lazy>being afraid to mention AI shitdont be a pussy. whats someone gonna do, give you a bitchy reply? who cares
>>750132825It's better than the first game, but entire trilogy are very light RPGs.
>>750134997I find it interesting both him and the Russian rigger were crowdfunded characters who ended up being the best ones. Hell, Gaichu could solo shit with proper drugs and stance.
>>750133696>play hong kong insteadToo much yapping. Also, locking the best end to being BFF with a shop keeper is bullshit.
>>750132825>as an RPG game enjoyer, should i bother pirating this? is it worth my time? They're like shitty mobile games, i've no idea how people take them seriously.
>>750136613>They're like shitty mobile gamesThey literally were mobile games, first and foremost designed for tablets and imo they were good mobile games, but they obviously don't compare to the CRPG greats on PC.
>>750136874returns was also a proof of concept for what they could make. such a shame modding never caught on seriously.
>>750133696I find Dragonfall's cast to be better than HK's honestly. That's not to say HK's companions are bad, I just don't like them as much overall. Besides Racter of course. It's funny how in Dragonfall, the default party is great but the optional Blitz sucks balls, then the optional HK party members are cooler than the default ones.
>>750133195i wanna explore her hole if you know what i mean
Both Dragonfall and Hong Kong are pretty good in terms of narrative (overall writing) and characters. If you liked one you will probably like the other unless you're retarded. Gameplay is pretty fucking barebones, can be enjoyable and there's some minimal roleplay but it's not really deep.I think the magnum opus for this dev will never come unless they take something like Hong Kong and iterate on it to enable actual roleplay systems, bigger levels, more interactivity, more equipment, more quests, etc. Duncan and Racter are best girls.
>>750132825Go shaman so you get all the dialogue options. I found that to allow the most fun in choosing your stuff. Decker makes the game take a lot longer if you're a loot everything guy.Street samurai was also fun and mage is generally very good in most situations.
>>750133494thissex with eiger
>>750132825Dragonfall and Hong Kong have great stories and companion writing, mid gameplay and are completely linear. I liked them both, although Hong Kong companions were mor to my liking more
>shit deckers pretty much making you main it yourselffuck blitz and isobel
>>750132825Good lore and graphics, awful game. It's not a good tactical RPG but I guess the good plot makes it.The first one is ok, the one in China is so so but also good and longer.
>>750132825>as an RPG game enjoyer>as a role playing game game enjoyer
>>750132825I tried Hong Kong on gamepassMeh.Feels like the only people that gave a fuck were the writers
Hong Kong is the one game I know where you can kill a "4channer" teen/young man.>You mong, anonymous and private are not the same thing, your op sec is terrible!>*kill the moron and throw him into the river*I didn't because it was a tad too mean, but still.>>750133696The companions in Dragonfall were more grounded. Not necessarily better, but the tone is less silly. Though I enjoyed Hong Kong more.>>750132825I got filtered hard in the server defense mission. In Hong Kong you can recruit a literally soulless Russian engineer who is just good fun to talk to, if that helps.
>>750142897>kill a 4channer characteri really like these shadowrun games but yeah there’s one side NPC in Returns that blatantly goes “..and my GF. yes, i’m lesbian. SO WHAT?!”. it was made during prime libtard years and it shows but to be fair thats about it.
>>750142897In Dragonfall there's a mission where you fight 'right-wing' humans only group that uses the same talking points as 1st Trump termHBS has always been like that.
>>750143149The 4channer wasn't a nasty caricature or anything, he just was a bit young and naive. IIRC he was starry eyed about a technocracy/hacker village (you can crush his dreams by revealing the leaders are bunch of political backstabbers), and he believed posting dangerous things in anonymous imageboards is safe (a good way to die in the setting, and probably now too, if you post military secrets on /k/).
