Any games where I can play as a battle mage?
It's good as fuck too. You just have to put all your points into strength which means you can wear all the armor that increases your magic stats so you'll have decent magic and hit hard with the best weapons too and can stun lock a lot of enemies alternating between weapon and magic (which is good because you will also be melting in a pool of acid, being pelted by other ranged enemies or god help you be stun locked yourself by multiple enemies who have ranged paralyze). Just don't put any stat points into anything other than strength because strength is the only stat the really increases your HP which is used as currency to repair equipment and HP potions are all max heals and are also finite so putting points into any of the other stats but strength will brick your save.

>>750140021>You can't handle close combat in a robe, so not a battle mageI have played a lot of video games with a robe in close combat.Basically every action- or Souls RPG, warriors are better off wearing a robe for the best movement speed or dodge than heavy armor that lets you survive one more hit.And in early Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup, I just wear a robe while crushing everything. Just need to have a fat HP bar and deal a ton of damage fast.If you mean real life, it depends on the situation. Fighting a fully armored man with a lethal weapon in a robe is suicide. But professional martial artists wear defensively equivalent things to robes and not every melee fight features armor. Armor is mostly just worn in military, by guards or in the arena.
