This is my first soulslike and I'm enjoying it but every boss gives me trouble. I'm at Chapter 7 and almost every boss so far I've had to use the specter summon to beat outside of like 3 of them. My question is once I inevitably play Dark Souls and Elden Ring are these games easier or will I simply need to git gud

nice ad campaign, faggot
the P stands for poop btw

I haven't played er or ds3 but ds1 and 2 are easier than lies of p. they also have summons for most bosses so even if you do start to struggle you can summon and its pretty easy
>>
dark souls is way easier, in elden ring it's easy to be accidentally overpowered in the beginning but later bosses are hard
>>
The fact that you picked this as your first soulslike suggests that you're intensely homosexual

youre thinking of this one https://store.steampowered.com/app/4054220/Unleash_The_Avatar/

What is exactly the hurdle you're struggling with
Parrying on time? Getting combo'd? Doing enough damage?
I feel like Lies of P is a relatively forgiving game if you play along with its mechanics, at least compared to some other soulslikes

If you summon they are all the same level of difficulty. Summoning pulls boss aggro and breaks these games. ER in particular will give you access to insanely strong moves to safely delete bosses.

Dark Souls is easier and fairer.
Less emphasis on bullshit, at least in 1 and 2.

I tend to play games on handhelds and got the Switch 2 version recently. The souls games always caught my eye but they were never on my platform of choice or if they were they didnt run well. I would've gotten Elden Ring on Switch 2 but everyone recommend Lies of P first since it's more linear and I wouldn't be as lost

Parrying on time? Getting combo'd? Doing enough damage?
A mixture of all? It seems like Parrying is the name of the game and the timing is always bad for me. I would block but it still eats at your health and rolling doesnt seem optimal here. I had issues with damage but realized I was pumping the wrong stats and just reset things. I've been mainly using great swords and just now started putting my stats correctly in to Motivity. I pretty much get my ass handed to me by the bosses and dont struggle with much else. Some of the bosses I managed to beat without summons (it just takes dying 10-20 times) but the 2nd phase Romeo especially gave me issues so I used a summon

You're playing one of the highest points of the genre. Should have started with something worse because it's going to be all downhill with whatever you choose to play next. Also if you're having trouble, use a combination of dodge, perfect guard, and regular guard. Relying too much on one will make the game harder. Perfect guard things you are comfortable with perfect guarding, dodge things you can't reliably perfect guard, and regular guard if you can't reliable dodge or perfect guard, with the intention of getting back that health afterward by attacking. You still want to be using perfect guards more than the other two, the game is built around it after all, but mix it up.

Parrying IS good, but it's not some be all end all perfect defensive option that makes everything else worthless
Parrying some attacks is actively detrimental due to knockback, and obviously the risk is higher.
Blocking only costs HP if you don't rally the grey health back with a correct punish, and it helps to learn the parry timining in a safer way, big weapons like greatswords are also much more efficient at it.
Sidestepping and strafing is also really good, tracking in this game (for the most part) isn't so absurd that you can't move around bosses, humanoid bosses are often balanced around doing that and getting backstabs.
Strafing also lets you get in your punishes much earlier than a parry sometimes, which gives you more opportunities for charged heavy attacks which do absurd posture damage.
In terms of stats, make sure you're not negating the primary stats just for your damage stat because they are all important, as is determining your damage stat based on the boss.

As a souls autist who has like 5k hours in these games and almost exclusively plays them.

Lies of P bosses are some of the least intuitive / most trial and error in the genre imo. Elden Ring late game is also like kinda this. Dark souls 2 has very easy bosses but harder exploration/levels. dark souls 3 is a good middle ground for good bosses and linear levels easy to explore. dark souls 1 is a little easier overall but also still a decent game imo.

Lords of the fallen bosses are arguably too easy for souls veterans, even on veteran mode, and only have like 2-3 hard bosses in the entire game, but the overall levels/exploration are harder (at least if you play with increased enemy density) its kind of like dark souls 2 in that way but maybe better if you play on veteran with increased enemy density. though character building has less variety than dark souls 2.

demons souls bosses are even more of a joke but levels are harder too.

Sekiro is peak in terms of combat but weaker in terms of character building because you use 1 weapon and just change abilities / meme items.

pic related is not a boss fight just a regular encounter of late game enemy in lords of the fallen btw.

The starlight altars outside of bosses that summons a dude to help you. But just clearing the levels to get to bosses means that OP is getting good passive experience in the genre. They could absolutely shit on ds1 already for sure.

Dude why?

Lies of P didn't invent soulslikes, but it may as well have.

Heard some people saying (seemingly without evidence) that Wonders of O/Lies of P 2 was going to be open-world, I guess because Elden Ring was?
Is there literally any evidence of that?
