>main story: 18 hours>actual gameplay: 7 hoursIs this normal to you?
>>750147749>actual gameplay: 7 hoursthis seems way too generous of an estimate
>>750147749The real beginning of the end
>>750147870you may go ahead
I started Xenosaga a week ago and it feels like 6 hours of uptime have been occupied by 3 hours of cutscenes,a third of which are the slightly too-long pauses between lines of dialogue or sluggish character animation.
>>750147870If you aren't trying to speed through on a big boss completion, 7 hours is possibly underselling MGS4's gameplay length. Compared to MGS1-3 which you can casually blitz through in an hour and change, 4 has more "game" to it mostly thanks to more scripted on rail sequences
>>750147749Kojimbo invented the skip button for you
>>750147749>dorks like to brag about "media literacy" with video games>can't even sit and watch a few cutscenesfiltered so hard by godjima.
>>750147749And out of those 7 hr you got only 1-2hr of real gameplay, rest is just on rail shooting and walking
>>750149290>want to play game>turn game on>it's a movie
>>750147946wtf it didn't take me even 4 hours to play through the game when skipping all the cutscenes
>>750149476>want to play game>turn game on>its a bookRPg's should not exist then? and visual novels?
>>750149290>a few cutscenes>walk 2 meters>cutscene>walk 5 meters>cutscene>walk 3 meters>cutscene>walk 1 meter >cutscene
>>750147749For me it was more like >10-12 hours cutscene>4-5 hours gameplay
>>750149290few? A FEW?
Only good parts of MGS 4 were acts 1 and 2 (minus the on-rail shooting part) and MGO 2
>>750147749Even with 7 hours of gameplay mgs 4 is a Kino of the highest order, won't be replicated ever again by anybody so yes learn to enjoy the damn cutscenes!
>>750147749That's wrong. There was 30 hours of cut scenes and 30 minutes of gameplay.
>>750147749You had the awesome multiplayer back in the day(with fan servers now) but this game really needed vr missions like 1 and 2 had where you could exploit the mechanics to the fullest.
>>750147749who cares about normal? mgs4 is ludo AND kino
>>750148406You’re genuinely insane if you think you can “casually” get through MGS2 in less than 2 hours, speedruns notwithstanding.I busted my ass for Big Boss rank and even then ending up at like 2:15 after skipping all the cutscenes
