Not really, there's no classes, you can just grab any abilities at anytime but the enemy variety is shit and the open world wasn't handcrafted, so it's very glitchy to move around. I got several hours in and was just never having fun. And I wanted to fuck the corrupt female turian cop/part time smuggler but man it was so boring. Imagine an entire game based around the planet exploring of mass effect 1, just drive your Mako around to get to points of interest, maybe you get in a fight, maybe you have to go inside a dungeon to get in a fight, either way it's the same. And then add in dragon age inquistion quest design, and less satisfying gunplay and abilities than 3

I liked the jetpack, new melee weapons, and customizable guns that let you have ME1 style cooldowns.
Enemy design and variety are meh and the enemies are bullet sponges.
The open world stuff with the car and scanning/collecting things was lame too.
