So instead I made it an industry song about publishers pushing all of the interesting things a game has to offer into paid DLC. I know it's a dead horse that's been beaten to mush, but I thought the idea was silly enough to write. >Dark Souls IIExtremely pleased with how this one turned out. I had attempted other songs before to have a sequel to my previous Dark Souls song, but none of them really stuck with me. (I was originally going to have it be "In the Pines" but I didn't feel like it was right) I know this one is DLC because the singer wanted another chance to do it (something I deeply respect, even if I think their take was amazing) But I think this is the song I'm most proud of this year, sung or unsung. You HAVE to have played Scholar of the First Sin to understand what the song is about. It's entirely written from Aldia's perspective, Dark Souls II is my favorite one due to it's story.

I think it's really sad that multiple anons that used to have names here ended up feeling like they needed to hide from those names over old drama, but I understand it and respect them for it. To any anon that feels unappreciated, know it's not true, whether you don't have a name or the name doesn't get used in ways you want. You all matter, if you had any part in even 1 track or even just the organization stuff then thank you. There will always be trolls and people that show up just to put each other down, but we still have people marking their calendars to return here a decade or longer because at the end of every year the positive outshines all of that. Lazily punched 8.8 (rounded the higher number up by 1 second) and 0.33 into an average calculator Got an average video time of roughly 4 and a half minutes. This is probably very wrong but again, I was lazy. So, I multiplied 4.5 by the number of videos, and then divided that by 60. I'm assuming this is very wrong but if my dumbass lazy math is even adjacent to right, a full musical video watch party would be a total of almost 17 hoursI'm probably wrong, but GOD DAMN if it's even slightly accurate.

But, of course, this is "unfinished song from previous year gets finished in a later year" with lyrics that have been tweaked. A better comparison would be the Happy Birthday 4chan song. The original (not the full version that gets posted every year now) post was a short shitpost, an anon sung that shitpost, and that ended up as DLC for that year. But what if someone else writes something different with The Arrogant Worms' Birthday Song? Is that song now locked into DLC hell, or would it not count? Honestly this is such a niche scenario that it'll probably never actually come up, but I think it's worth addressing because it's 7AM and I should have gone to bed hours ago but I didn't and this is what my brain thinks is important right now.
