What video games are you gonna make with RPG Maker U2U?
None, I'm using MV because I want to make a SRPG.
>>750161525None, will continue to use Don Miguel's Rm2k.
>>750161525The more complex and feature rich you make it, the effort it takes to make something in it.Defeating the point of RPG maker
None, I'm going to keep using Don Miguel's translation for RPG Maker 95 to make erotic games with 256 colors. But actually, I plan to use u2u for a puzzle-based dungeon-crawling game. A huge, bearded man and his naughty loli daughter will search dungeons for treasure. The twist is that all the dungeons will actually have two layers, the first one is pretty obvious, but after the player explores enough, they'll discover that the dungeons they've been exploring were just the beginning of a massive underground complex.
>>750161525Still sticking my unfinished project on Ace
What is your RPG maker game about, anons? Mine is about monster girls.
>>750162951My game is simple. Each dungeon has two girls inside. You can't save while you're inside, and if you die, you're sent back outside at level 1, with only the money you've collected. The idea is to strategize in each dungeon to save both girls. The treasures you get are all random, so you have to make do with what you find (weapons, magic scrolls, potions, etc). The stairs to go down to the next floor also appear in random locations within the dungeon. The girls offer sexual favors to help you during the dungeon, but if they die, you lose the chance to get them out, so the goal is not only to defeat the boss of each dungeon using only the resources found within it (and starting at level 1), but to do so while keeping the girls alive so you can get them out of the dungeon and into the city, where they'll take on professions to unlock new content (and more sex scenes).
>>750163278A sex roguelite sounds like a roguelite I would play.
>>750161525shit will be cheaper to buy a claude subscription than this lol
>>750161525It's cute looking and I hope some people will try pushing it to it's limits and even doing other genre. but it's too limited for me.
>>750161525hd-2d sucks
>>750163970There's one where you control a chubby girl, made in Godot. It's called "Hard Stuck" and is available for free on itch.io. It has a few bugs and isn't quite finished, but the game is pretty interesting and has decent animations.
>>750161525I want to make a AA like game in 2.5d
>>750162951Current project is for a Halloween Jam that started a little over 3 weeks ago. It's a classic li'l JRPG about a little witch terrorizing the world.Latest thing I added was a Mode7 overworld where you can fly around.
>>750165617Which RPG Maker did you use to create the flight scene you posted?
>>750168303RM2K Don Miguel Edition.
>>750169920What kind of tool do you use to apply perspective to the map?I know you can manipulate images and do complex things with them, but are you manipulating the map itself?
>>750161525H-games are gonna have octopsth traveeler graphics and combat and still use shitty jpegs instead of animations
>>750161525None.This is just Unite 2.0, nobody will use this shit because Kadokawa is entirely missing the point.
>>750174913I think people will use it because, aside from the map editor (which is really poorly designed and a pain to use), making (programming) the game is exactly the same as with other RPG Makers. And even though the original RPG Maker assets don't look great with this weird 3D style they're using (where every vertical thing is tilted at a 45-degree angle), with custom assets, people will be able to create really interesting and atmospheric visuals. Horror games, for example, have enormous potential with the fog effects and 3D camera, while everything else is basically RPG Maker, or in other words, easy to "program."
>>750161525I thought this said RPG Maker UwU for a moment
>>750161525Can you make full proportions characters sprites? Or are you only restricted to chibi shit?
>Don Miguel That name brings back memories. I'm trying to remember an FF7 inspired game I played back in maybe '04 or '05, it had some fun minigames but I never completed it. If anyone knows it, did I miss out on much?
