And with the way ranked systems have been going most of them have probably been reworked to make people feel good about their progress instead of actually challenging people. If you actively wanted to become better you would have done that already by absorbing knowledge and playing the game to your strengths. When you create your account it's given a "seed" and this determines the rank you will stay at/around. If you drop below that rank, you'll climb quickly, if you go above you will fall quickly. Streamers/Pros have any new account start with a good seed, everyone else it's luck of the draw.
