Is having romancable companions in a RPG being able to end up with another companion if you don't romance them on that run a good or bad thing in your eyes?
If so why?
>>
That ain't right.

>wow do you enjoy watching another man fucking the woman you like
If you even have to ask this you're a cuck.

It's bad as well as desirable women not being available arbitrarily.
You are the hero of the story and this is your "power fantasy", the game does revolve around the player and fullfiling his wishes. Denying the player women and flaunting how they are fucking another dude, seeing a hot woman claimed by another man is subconscious humiliation, taunting you that you couldn't claim that woman.
A situation like Tali x Garrus is humiliating, because you are being punished for romancing someone else in another run, by seeing the girl your character has won being taken. It doesn't matter if it's "a different character" or "double standards" the player is the real reactive person there, the "Shepeard" is just his puppet, the player remains in all runs and that just destroys the point of that romance being made for the player theplayer and Tali's connction being unique.
Faggots criticising this will say "but muh realism, muh immersion, muh reactive world, npcs having their own lives and don't revolve around player" no they fucking don't. It's a world that exists for the player. It's made for the player, it's not a self-running simulation. The games do in fact revolve around the player's actions. When you pause someone else isn't gonna continue your quest, the game world only exists when you run the .exe fie. This isn't a player driven MMO. The game is meant to serve the player and his fantasy. To make the player satsfied. Devs know this and them taking away the important romance aspect of the hero's "save the world get the girl" goal is malicious. Why would they subvert it by making you watch a hot woman with another man while that world and it's charcters should please the player. Same goes for making the player watch the girl he won in one playthrough being claimed by a different guy in another.

Never got the appeal of romance systems. I just skip them all
>>

I always romanced Tali so I couldn't give half a shit
>>
>>750189914
It's not cucked if you're not romancing them that run. It's good that companions interact with each other independent of the player in general, not just romance tho
>>
>>750189914
It doesn't bother me but it raises the question why it gets written in if it doesn't directly improve the power fantasy of the protagonist.
I guess its more or less what this anon >>750190003 is saying except I feel less autistic about it.
>>
>>750189914
So Tali doesn't relly care who she's with? Sounds like a slut.
>>
>>750189914
I think it's good. Those two are also the only dextro amino acid species on the Normandy Zoo boat, so it's entirely reasonable for them to end up together.
>>
>>750190003
>I'm being cucked by my own choices
Retard.
>>
>>750189914
I think it works in a series like ME because there's several games, so if you don't show any interest in the characters in any of the previous games despite being available it isn't unreasonable that they might get it on with someone else. But in a single done and gone entry? It'd just make everyone feel like a sleazy whore.

>>750192505
It doesn't there was outrage
>>
In the Citadel DLC, I saw Ashley with James but I didn't care. Still, I agree with the anon saying it shouldn't happen. It shouldn't.
>>
>>750190003
I agree with every word in this post
>>
Ive never had a 'roman cable' companion OP
>>
>>750189914
>Find a video about Tali x Garrus "romance" through the series
>It only lasts like 6 minutes
This ship is literally just fanservice, they just suddenly get together near the end of ME3
>>
>>750189914
It's a good thing. Give harem-chasing incels a reality check that women you don't choose will eventually find someone else; the world doesn't revolve around you.
>>
>>750196624
why are roastoids like this
they already know, that's why they find escapism in a video game
>>
>>750189914
I don't even want companions in rpgs, I want to have a lonesome journey maximum with non humanoid bot or an animal
>>
>>750189914
Good
>why
Reinforces they are their own characters with their own likes that don't revolve solely around the player character being the center of the universe. As a non-Talifag, it adds natural depth to both her and Garrus that they grow to have the hots for each other.

You have no idea.

I mean both genders like this feeling, its why tons of women have orbiter friends and hot guys IRL essentially live in a harem anime.
