It doesn't. It's floundering. You see the same people camping the same gates if you take a 5 year break. It's normal to see a fleet of 20 accounts all flown by one player.That said, it's one of a kind. It's not a ripoff of anything else and nothing else has tried to take its place as a space based true MMORPG.

It is unironically the best way to teach market trading and arbitrage without real world financial implications.
This game is a vision of the future, big corp controlling everything, the authorities siding with them most of the time even if it's not right, and you being unable to really have any reach if you are not part of any big group
