The whole Arkham series is actually 10/10. How did a relatively unknown studio make something so ahead of its time?
>>750197720Arkham origins is trash though. The rest are fine
>>750197720Quick Google search told me Rocksteady was founded and staffed mostly by former Argonaut Games, and those were industry vets dating back to C64.https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Argonaut_Games
>>750198009Argonaut were the guys behind the Super FX chip and Starfox, yeah? Makes sense.
>>750197828Why? Origins is great. Stop repeating what others say to fit in.
>>750197828It's the only one I've not tried, I see opinions split on it with some saying it's secretly the best and others that it's the worst. Either way it wasn't actually developed by Rocksteady, they were working on Knight at the time.
>>750197828>>750198275origins > city > knight > asylum
>>750198281It has the best story and acting performances if that sways youBut in terms of mechanics, design and polish it's way behind the Rocksteady games
>>750198334The forced car mechanics make Knight last for me. The other three are interchangable based on preference IMO. I just love Origins because the rouges get to interact with Gotham instead of a criminal sandbox. I also like Bane+Joker team up, Deathstroke, I could go on in terms of rogues, in Origins a lot better compared to all of the Wonder City stuff from from City. Joker and Bane put Hugo Strange and Ras to shame. Also, the Batcave is pretty neat as a hub and place to do the training missions.
>>750198527>It has the best story>IT WAS JOKER AGAIN, LMAO
>>750198334Asylum's the best though.Metroidvania's a better fit than open world.
>>750197720Only played a bit of asylum and never finished it, need to get back to it some day.
>>750197828Origins is ok, but it's not much past that.
