I'd say it is the better game on the table to bring new players or returning nostalgia boomers. Dark Magician has a deck, Blue-Eyes has a deck, Red-Eyes has a deck, Jinzo has a deck, Harpie Lady has a deck, fucking Petit Moth and the gang has a deck and the list goes on. It has enough deep to enjoy elaborated deck making but isn't unrestrained enough that games end ultra fast. I think it has a decent 10-15 minutes game per round feeling that would scratch the needs of most the TCG players right now. Sadly it was plagued with so many bad takes from loud voices when it started that most people won't glance back at it but as it is right now it solved pretty much every single problem a layman would have with yugioh at its current state.

The pack system is perhaps a little crappy since they're based off of IRL packs and not themes like TF, and quite a few have rather shitty unlock conditions. The Structure Decks are actually a decent way to get access to some staples like MST, but the system with them really sucks and you only have access to one in the shop at any given time and need to go through 10 duels to get it changed out for a different (random) one, so good luck if you want a specific SD to help get you started on a specific deck.
