ME4 should’ve just been a multiplayer exploration type game. You’d have the Citadel, which is open to all players with my PVP enabled, then the story planets for each race which are localized to only include a single player per instance, then the exploration planets where everyone can land with their equivalent of Makos and look for resources and encounters with other players also on the same planet. They’d be much bigger than ME1’s planets but with enough people running around you’re bound to run into someone. No fast travel for space travel it’s all done on board your ship under your control, with space battle mechanics fleshed out (maybe just make all the relays broken in the story).>Humans>Batarians>Krogans>Asari>Turians>QuariansEach one gets a different story so you have a reason to make new characters. And it wouldn’t be an MMO type game it would have similar combat to ME3

What happens when they enter "production" is that they take their prototypes for, for example combat, and start building early level design to test it, and then unless something goes wrong, they move forward with it and begin to create actual whitebox levels based on writing descriptions, and they hire and start "Cinematic Designers" to create those goofy looking BioWare cutscenes where they repeat the same animations and turn their heads weirdly like animatics, and they put people in their mocap studio to storyboard and shoot all the high-quality moments in the game in between the robotic "BioWare dialogue" sections, and then the level designers and writers and cinematic designers work in tandem on a day-to-day basis, and test when it's ready to test. Then on the other side of that, you get the true to form "BioWare game" which would've taken them 2-ish years to make, so the game would probably ship around March/April 2029.
