Netflix reportedly offered Xbox $500 million for seven years of exclusive movie and TV rights based on Xbox games.

Xbox came back asking for $800 million.

The deal eventually fell apart after Netflix’s former content chief Bela Bajaria left during the company’s layoffs. Xbox is now looking at smaller deals with multiple partners instead.

Xbox didn’t deny the report, saying it has seen “record-breaking interest” in its games and still considers Netflix a valued partner.
