Assuming you have a controller with back-paddles, what do you use them for?I bind the Left Paddle to the "Confirm" button so I can play JRPG games with one hand.

>>750219271I never use them
>>750219314O shit, that's a good idea
>>750219271i dont use them
push to talk
Left Paddle: L3Right Paddle: Turbo-fire one of the face buttons
>>750219271Once I tried to bind them in cp77 and turned out I can't do what I wanted because it only accept x-input key. I can't split this idiotic press or hold meme
If a game wants my thumb in multiple places at once (left stick + dpad, right stick + face button, multiple face buttons) then the auxiliary inputs go to back buttonsIf I'm going to use gyro I designate one back button as a gyro toggleOtherwise, L3 R3
>>750219271Depends on the game. I like how the Switch 2 lets you program them on a per-game basis. My default is >>750219314, but otherwise for shit like the Star Fox remake I bind the boost/brake buttons to them so you can keep shooting without having to do a claw grip.
>>750219271i hate back paddles, i'm too used to gripping and tapping with my fingers so i always end up hitting them by mistake. the few times i have used a controller with these i disabled them immediately
>>750219271I map them to A and B in splatoon, so I don't have to move my thumb off the analog stick. I don't really use them otherwise.
>>750219271dash in MMX or MMX type games
>>750219271Left for L3Right for B
I use them for any game that uses the thumbstick button for something. Nothing is fucking worse then pressing down on the thumbstick and it fucks up your controller after a while too. Also if its playstation style controller I will sometimes use them to map dpad buttons. On xbox its easier to use dpad and thumbsticks at the same time.
Dodge and jump in a game like Control Resonant. My 8Bit do controller has 2 more buttons near the shoulders and I use one for select so I don't have to move my finger to open the menu or map.
>>750219271Usually healing on the left if the game has it or similar stuff on the dpad. Similarly jumping and if there's a dash or hold to run button, I put those on the right buttons so I have full movement without letting go of the trackpad. If there's any left over after those I usually put either the left and/or right stick click there. Also, in games with a lot of actions, I use them to swap input layers to get different touch menus.
