>The setting sounds pretty cool. A galactic Cold War and a space age James Bond. I just don't think Bioware can pull it off.Set 600+ years after the Reaper War• You play as a customizable N7 agent• Instead of being a walking gun rack, you're a cross between John Wick and James Bond • Shepard's legacy preserved, regardless of your ending• A galaxy divided into three major factions• Humanity, Krogan, Batarians, and more allied together• Council races forming their own alliance• The Geth emerging as a third superpower• A galactic Cold War instead of another Reaper style invasion with a shadowy adversary• Geth-built megastructures• Connections between the Milky Way and Andromeda• Experimental technology implanted in you as a unique point of difference• Hacking and manipulating the environment• See through walls, identify systems, remotely trigger hazards and more• Handcrafted missions like ME1-3• But with Hitman-style freedom in how you complete them• Brutal close-range executions• Squadmates who can clash with each other• Romance wasn't being sanitised• Liara returns - now an incredibly powerful Asari Matriarch

Yeah i remember the details from back then that said Andromeda & the Milky way would be connected, made me think it'd continue the story but noooooooo it was about the geth again.
>>750219686How are Geth still alive? The canon ending is destroy
It sounds cool except you lost me at "600 years in the future."Andromeda was only ever set 600 years ahead to justify a journey "far away" from the old setting and the 3 endings, just to be sure. Now we're going back to the old setting (the trailer took place on Illium from ME2, in 2816) 600 years later, just so we can connect the post ME3 OT setting to Andromeda.Nuh-uh. All of this tirefire trash happened because BioWare wouldn't undo those fail endings that didn't have any narrative substance in ME3. "Organics and Synthetics" is not the topic of the whole saga, or ME Trilogy, and the entire final choice scenario in ME3 is created out of thin air just to have "dire consequences" based on something about Synthetics and Organics. And then especially Synthesis is so total that you had to move outside the blast-radius and 600 years into the future to justify how long it would take to manually move Arks from 1 galaxy to the other...This is all just a trainwreck and should've been stopped the moment someone said "Andromeda". The original setting was only 1% charted according to the games' own fucking codex, for crying out loud. There are dozens of species the player didn't even see in the original SETTING, and so many planets and civilizations that weren't part of the summit against the Reapers in the third game. But they act like the Galaxy is like one country on Earth. It's a GALAXY for fuck's sake. It's ENORMOUS. You don't need to leave it for some Space Fantasyfication of Mass Effect, man.
