Cyberpunk got an update, but the world is still lifeless with nothing happening.

What mods are best for fixing this part of the game? Anything that improves the world simulation is welcome, i.e more interactive/reactive NPCs, more random events etc

The update broke everything but keep an eye on this one

I've always wondered what the complaint about Cyberpunk's world being "lifeless" actually means. What do people who say this expect to see?
>>
Stealthrunner made me finally finish the 2nd playthrough I've been dropping halfway through. Insane quality/content addition if you actually like completionist stealth games

They have this vision of a game in their head where stuff is happening all the time. Gangs shot at each other and take territory and police get involved at the right time etc. It's all wishful thinking, because no game has ever had that kind of open world nonsense.
You'll see people say that GTA does this. They are lying or misremembering playing it when they were 12.

World is massive, and highlight of the game, but it really is completely empty in certain areas. Rich hills fall apart once you roam a little off main paths, financial downtown is entirely empty, even though it's supposed to be this centre of massive population.

Main problem is massive difference between free-roaming and main missions. The world and story areas are completely separate. Story is on rails. You go through progression as if you're playing the most lineal game ever created. FMV "Sidequests" are all just "optional" part of the main mission. There are some "real" sidequests delivered to you via mail text dumps, and those are all just trash filler, and it shows.

>Lifeless world
Crowd variety restored, crowd, walks restored, crowd props restored, and crowd umbrellas restored.
Immersive MaxTac
>Nothing happens
>>750222287 is a good suggestion
Faction Attitudes Toggler is a simpler alternative to make npc fights happen more often.
Reinforcements System for bigger fights.
Netrunners Unleashed so netrunners do stuff in npc vs npc fights.
Wannabe Edgerunner if you want to go psycho and gave police/maxtac fights.
>Interactive npcs
AI NPC LLM Companions if your into AI roleplaying
Night City Allies for more companions, hanging out at your house, quests, and a bunch of other crap

It very much feels like an on rails set piece after set piece and the dressing could be knocked over at any time. Oh you finished a few gigs in an area. Thats over, now. Nothing will ever happen there again. Might as well never visit that subsection of the map ever
>but the story dictates that you’re on borrowed ti-
A poorly implemented design decision. About as poor as saddling your character with a shitty meme AI partner who loses its luster after one playthrough. When you should have had the choice in killing off permanently as soon as you want. Also about as poor of a choice as having your life path only truly mattering for the first hour. Because after that CDPR says you have to be a trashy gangbanger with Jackie.

weirdest thing about cyberwoke was how overpowered grenades felt outside missions, all random encounters (bounty hunts?) had the enemies stand together so if you just walked up to them and placed 2 grenades all of them died before they could react

Cyberpunk’s issues are fundamental to the game itself. No updates can fix that since it would have to severely alter the world and the very narrative of the game. Basically it would be a ship of Theseus game where parts have been replaced and altered to the point where it’s not even the only part that resembles the original game is the name itself.

There's no systems-driven anything. People expect like GTA or A-Life with dynamic NPC behavior. Or at least random events. By contrast the actual game world is very static. Side quests, gigs, and even encounters on the map with enemies and police shootouts are always at the same place and they're always there.

There was a mod that made it so that random crowd NPCs would be replaced by cops and appropriate gang members by district and there'd be random gunfights breaking out while going around.
>>
as usual modders tried to push in world stuff. like mods that try to trigger gang turf wars to spawn or police scanner missions so you can pretend to be an NC cop and even basic 'realism' like needing to eat, food, relax and PAY YOUR APARTMENT REBNT!!!

How is this any different from the story quests of Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim, Witcher 3, etc?

To their credit, the implementation for that kind of stuff worked a lot better in Cyberpunk than it ever did in Bethesda games. CP2077 actually had very good modding hooks for HUD elements, custom keybinds, and custom menus.
