Tried playing this baby last night. I heard it was the best one since 3. I'm torn. I honestly can't tell if the gameplay is better or not. Old Ass Creed games had bad gameplay anyway. But for some reason, I played this for HOURS and even enjoyed a lot of it. I will say though, every woman has a man jaw and it's fucking disgusting. So I play as male Viking dude and try to avoid looking at females for too long. Which really sucks because Viking women are supposed to be hot as hell. Also surprisingly I didn't see any black vikings. Good on ubisoft for at least trying to be a little bit historically accurate. You do have to kill a million white Christians though, and I'm pretty sure not all of them are even Templars. Fighting bosses or "higher level enemies" was totally unfun and they should have just not put stats in this game. The fighting really shines in big battles against hordes of regular enemies. I had fun dual welding the axes and trying to survive. These battles are actually somewhat challenging but satisfying. And you can actually play them your own way like in far cry. The bosses though, they're just tedious. Some of them are literally impossible I think at low levels, unless you want to spend hours chipping away at thier health. I do miss being able to pick up and use any weapon though, and being able to use hidden blades as a primary weapon. The graphics in this game are shockingly bad in places. It's also noticeably woke as fuck. Also the climbing and parkour doesn't fucking work right but in some places it's alright and even kinda fun. It's weird.Anyway, not sure how I feel about it yet but hey, I have the urge to play some more and see if it gets better. So, that's a good sign right? I wish you could stay in Norway though. Viking on Viking adventures were kino. I kinda don't want to murder innocent god fearing countryfolk. At least other vikings are cool with this life.

The Assassin plot feels like some easter egg and consists maybe 10% of the story. To answer your question, it doesn't get better. You pretty much saw everything the game has to offer, and it's about to turn stale. Now you will be doing the same things as you did so far but 100 hours more. Also Eivor is a female name and your player character is canonically female.

Even on Draugr with +50 PL level scaling it's a joke once you hit midgame. The River Raids alone take over 100 hours to buy out the store and upgrade the two or three buildings. Siege of Paris mandates a 10-20 hour grind for the mission currency to buy out one of its stores. It's one of the worst AC games and pretty much every AC fan agrees on this point as it's where many major issues with the series started appearing. It's extremely bloated, it prevents you from using all playstyles unless you use a specific build or play on Easy, LotFB is the only time it ever feels like an AC game, the Eagle Bearer's entire morality and belief system is schizophrenic regardless of if you think about canon or just wing it, dialogue choices almost entirely don't matter and there's not even consequences for betraying people at times, it's one of the most apparent in its asset reuse with the randomly generated camps and barracks that spawn in your vision, it has by far the worst ship combat in the series, and so much more.It's genuinely awful as an AC game and underwhelming as a generic RPG but it does work alright as a generic RPG.>>750229095Not at all. They are in funny position because at one point you realize that this thing had potential, a large and extremely grand potential as a myth AAA rpg game, but on the other hand those potential are getting 'limited' by the asscreed part of it. From sales perspective there are literally no good AAA rpg (other than botw and maybe ff 15) that was released between 2017-2020, it was literally a free land right there but ubishart choose to affiliate this thing with asscreed. This game could work well as a standalone franchise
