I mostly played 2D titles on my PS1 and the rare 3D title that actually functioned well enough. The PS2 is where 3D games finally started to feel good most of the time, but games with guns still felt off at times. I think RE4, Timesplitters, and Black were the only PS2 games with firearms I enjoyed. It wasn't until the PS3 era that I finally started playing a variety of FPS titles. Now I just play any shooters on PC with keyboard and mouse.
