I don't have experience as a proper teacher or sub teacher but I have been in many classroom settings and assisted plenty of students with their work and while I halfway agree with what you said it's not all like that.Unfortunately I will agree with the huge disparity in actual academic skill levels between students. There's genuine dipshits who can't read or write in grades they have no business being in, but many of them I'm able to get to pay attention fairly easily.
