Whoever made the game had no confidence in it, which is made clear by how it desperately tries to constantly remind you about the OT, it fails spectacularly mechanically and narratively and doesn't manage to keep your interest beyond Shepard's foundations it wants to ride on. Game needs to accommodate for the existence of the jetpack so all environments are needlessly huge to allow for you to zoom around the sky. It's extremely noticeable whenever you enter what should be a small warehouse but the rooms are MMO-tier with super high ceilings. They made away with strict classes to allow for you to change between profiles, the idea being you'll 'arm up' several profiles each with different powers then change depending on the enemy but because each profile gives you access to three powers and the devs didn't find a way to stop the player from using them immediately, change profiles and using the new three powers, again and again for the seven profiles the game offers; what they did was put whatever powers you change to be in cooldown which *defeats the entire purpose of needing to change profiles in the first place*. When an enemy with an armor layer of health pops up you can either use the profile you have currently selected or change in which case in the time it takes for you to have access to the armor powers, you've defeated the enemy seven times over. What you end up doing is having a profile with one armor power + one barrier power + a freebie (Tactical Cloak in my case) and play the entire game leveling those and passive skills up, forgetting profiles even exist.
