The routes vary from straight up "All men are evil" feminism to "Oh wow is me so much tragedy". It's jarring even from a textual point, and the art is extremely mediocre. It's entirely "Safe-horny" too - despite being a prisoner, the woman is always in command, domineering, the one in charge, the one with the "Power". Also it's boring.

Also some of the voice filters they used for the princess were kind of annoying.

>>750243943For me, it's generally the writing. It's like a high schooler discovered what prose is and decided to throw in words to sound deep and existential but has practically no real meaning. For example the "'Nothing' is an idea that dwells in the absence of 'something" tier dialogue at the end of the game. It's artsy-fartsy wankery. The princess va, for me, generally sucks. The gameplay is boring. The "voices of..." characters just generally describe what you are seeing in front of you but offer no new insight or unique perspectives. The game says it's a love story but you just mold the princess into whatever you want her to be. The game is basically a cheevo/route hunt instead of a meaningful experience. It's all very shallow.
