Asset reuse has always been a thing, but it's so plainly obvious to anyone living in reality that they make such extensive use of Quixel Megascans that most of their RE Engine catalog of games are super generic and you can see the reuse everywhere you go in the RE games. Then there's the changes they made in the remakes that show they cut corners but they use their plausible deniability to reframe it as creative decisions for an even dumber re-canonization. If by the numbers, super sanitized and safe shit is what the goyim want, then that's what they'll get. Undeserved success for remaking products (and worse) is simultaneously funny and depressing.
